Is that the same as wanting to go to sleep and not waking up - for a year or two maybe 20? Rumplestiltskin Syndrome

@mismi,
When my husband got diagnoised with cancer it was everything I could do to not throw everything in my closet away. I wanted to totally empty my closet. I could never figure out where that feeling came from, but it was very intense. I have gotten rid of many of my clothes anyway over the past year.
I have also had urges to get in the car and just drive and drive and drive.

Been there as well. Last year I cleaned out my closets. I went in there yesterday looking for a specific item to wear and thought "NO! I DIDN'T throw THAT away!!!

I've thought before that it would be nice to just move, live simple, work at a Mcdonalds or something. Might be cool to just showing up for work and make fries with no other responsibility.

I can't say I've ever felt like running. How would you know which way to go?

Isn't it hard work? Strolling to the pub is bad enough.

@FreeDuck,
(So after I wrote the b-day party stuff I decided to take the bull by the horns and sent out emails to everyone invited saying here's when I plan to have the party, invites in the mail tomorrow with further details. My friend writes back saying uh, you realize that's at the same time as the OSU-Michigan game right? ARGHHHHHH!) (Nothing but nothing in Columbus is bigger than the OSU-Michigan game...)

There's that old saying, "wherever you go, there you are".

@mismi,
Yes - I've felt like that as well and have tried it - problem is the kids or cats eventually wake you up.

@sullyfish6,
Yes - I do that when I am driving to work or home.

And it is also cancer related (at least part of my current feeling about it).

@Linkat,
At this point I don't think that I would be capable of running away. But I could walk away, quickly!

@RexRed,
kinda both - not running to something, but just running the physical movement and a little bit of running away to forget all the stress.

@chai2,
Not really - I think I mentioned it once in what did I dream about post but no where else.

My dad has lung cancer. We don't know the long-term prognosis (sp?), but he will start chemo soon.

@Linkat,
In my dream - my dad died, my brother had a stroke and I got laid off.

This of course shortly after my brother was at the hospital with my dad all day. I spoke with my brother that evening to get the details - my brother sounded so tired and wiped I was concerned about his health and of course my company announced it was laying of thousands of people - that night I had some serious dreams.

Good/bad news - my brother seems fine - the layoffs happened yesterday and I was NOT affected (although there is to be additional ones 1st quarter of next year) and my dad says he feels great.

@Linkat,
Linkat - when you say you were affected - you mean you have been or will be laid off?
