Eat your heart out, Eddie Haskell. Tony Dow, best known as the actor who portrayed The Beav's big brother, Wally, in the '50s TV series "Leave It to Beaver," will have one of his abstract sculptures on display at the Louvre. Several sculptors from the Karen Lynne Gallery"including Dow"will have their works shown at the historic art museum in Paris as part of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts

Wow! That is quite a rise from playing 2nd fiddle to the "Beav". I am always happy to hear about young actors who leave the business as they mature, and find themselves in another fulfilling career.

What do you think about Wally now!

@Phoenix32890,
I think whenever you go to see the Big Beaver you take Exit 69.

@Phoenix32890,
Big Beaver Rd is actually in Detroit. It's a running joke.

@cjhsa,
It actually IS funny. Why don't you start a thread on funny place names? I would bet that we could have a ball with that!

@Phoenix32890,
Actually, this exhibition isn't in "THE" Louvre but the exhibition is at a location in the "Carrousel du Louvre".
And that's a favorite Paris shopping center for tourists .... and some locals, on the Rue Rivoli, a short distance away from the Louvre, on the other site of the street. ("Open 7 days a week, the Carrousel du Louvre features dozens of shops, a gourmet food court with 14 restaurants, .... and the exhibition hall "Salle Lenôtre".

@Walter Hinteler,
Close enough, Walter. Thanks for the info!

Hey, that's pretty neat. I haven't forgotten my high school French. I can understand most of that article.

Hmm, it's quite a posh shopping center - I've met some (American) tourists who thought it was a museum ...
