Yeah, CNN is on commercial break and before that said they'd have Obama when they came back...
I've gone through about 3 boxes of kleenex already...
<deep breath>
Maybe America's tissue manufacturers should thank Obama.
I talked to a friend in California. She said that she went to Trader Joe's to get some champagne today and it had already been cleaned out. So there are certain sectors of the economy that are profiting from an Obama administration.
Obama leads in Indiana and North Carolina AND in Omaha, NE, so he might pick up one of Nebraska's electoral votes before the evening is over.
Looks like he will get Omaha, but also possibly another Nebraska district containing Lincoln.

Let me sneak this in before Sen Obama speaks. In the 5th District of VA - where I live - in the race for the U.S. House seat, Tom Perriello (D) leads over Virgil Goode (R) by 1800 votes. Goode is the incumbent with about 12 years of, in my humble opinion, total incompetency. No Dem has ever come close to defeating him.
Obama got:
58% in Miami-Dade (84% of the Cuban-American population in Florida)
68% in Broward (7% of the Cuban-American population in Florida)
50% in Hillsborough (5% of the Cuban-American population in Florida)
63% in Palm Beach (4% of the Cuban-American population in Florida)
Very, very good. Little ice and lots of Scotch. Helps ease the pain. I have become comfortably numb.

Obama's speech was great, as usual. It's been an emotional night, hasn't it?
*kleenex all around*
I don't think all the tissue in the world can sop up all the tears of joy that are flowing at this moment! Today we turn a new page in our world history.
Michelle made me grin when she came out all arm-pumping and "yay we did it!"
I'm off to bed. Thanks so much for sharing this experience, everyone.

(Loved the part about the puppy too! )
I'm so in awe right now! Tears streaming down my face. Hope. Unity. Embracing our diversity. Equal rights, liberty and justice for ALL. Obama is the people's president! It's not going to be easy for Obama given the current state of our nation / world . . . but today we must celebrate the moment!
