when I start up my pc Windows tries to install Photo Gallery with not luck . It asks for a CD-ROM which I do Not have..how can I stop this from happening very time I bring up my PC.

From my research it looks like this is HP software, so uninstalling/reinstalling the HP software for your printer (or whatever else) may do the trick.

Additionally, there are some suggestions on this thread that others have said helps with this problem:

windows installer/photo gallery - help please???
