I think the intent is to prevent anyone from posting so much on a thread that it vitiates the idea or ideas originally presented. That is not a bad approach but it ignores the fact that if there are fifteen LIBERALS on a thread and only two conservsatives and thirteen of the LIBERALS need to be challenged because they are mistaken, then the topic flood limit is unfair. However, if there is a topic which is addressed by ten people and all of them give a variety of views,then I could see the reasonableness of such a Topic Flood Limit.
