It is too difficult to recommend what you should get with the less than minimum information you have provided. Can you identify what you mean by "whole house water filter system"? I don't think you could be more generic or vague than that.
Have you had a water test? What symptoms are you experiencing that tells you you need water treatment. Please try to be very detailed, OK?
