Converting PDF file to jpg image

Hey

I have been sent a photo which a friend wishes to post... it's a PDF file and I can't convert it to a jpg or bmp to put on photobucket....

is there a bright spark who tell me how to do that please?

You can't right click it and "save as"?

Hey LilK - nah... doesn't allow me to save it as a jpg or bmp...

tried cutting the pic and putting in word and notepad.... know there must be a real simple solution here... just, can't find it. Rolling Eyes

I don't know then. Let's see. I think if you get it into the "My Pictures" file, you can change the format in MS Word, though I don't know if PDF is one of the definitions. Also, MS Word 2007 does let you save in PDF format. In other words, I think it can be done, but I don't know how.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...... sorted....

used the select tool in adobe and copied and cut the image into paint... saved as a jpg... cool.... have tried on photobucket and it uploads great.

Hey Rock... had tried that and it wouldn't open in Picasa... but all sorted now hun - thanku x

@Izzie,
As a MAC user I'm a bit PC illiterate, but how about making a screen shot
of the picture only, and then converting it to a jpg?
I usually do it this way when there is a picture I cannot drag onto my desktop.

@Izzie,
In your pdf program; choose the snapshot tool and then click the image (a pdf is a picture of the page, so it will capture everything visible.

Next: Open paint and under edit choose "paste." This will show the entire page. Next, under file you can choose Save As jpeg.

Open your new jpg in any photo editor to crop out what you don't want and you're done.
