Rereading, I still think of savory as a ref to herbal. I'm not so sure there should never be any at all sugar, what if your herb is mint? But I presume people think of savory as the opposite of, say, usual cinnamon bun.

Yes, I get that, but about the derivation? I don't know so much. Whatever, I will still toss herbs.
