@Bronwyn David,
Some kids just don't like them.

I don't think you can make him. Try showing him how to use it and put his favorite drink in there. Good luck!

@Bronwyn David,
I just made the sippy cup available to my boys whatever they were doing - had it with them pretty much in their reach wherever they were. They eventually got the idea. I would show them by drinking from one...I would put theirs up to their mouth. It did take a while...they were breast fed for 14 months and would not take the bottle. So it was foreign to them...but they got it.

@Bronwyn David,
What does he drink from now, a bottle? Some kids differentiate between milk and other drinks and won't take milk in a sippy but will take water or juice from one.

@Bronwyn David,
Hello,

My sister did with her son. She took the bottle completely away at 18 months. However, she eased him into it. She would give him a sippy cup for bedtime and naps, and even if he screamed b/c he wanted the bottle, she didn't give in. Eventually he drank from it at nap and bedtime and she was able to switch him completely to the sippy cup.

Thanks a lot!
