@DrewDad,
Without it, it is harder to follow. We're going to work on the last post link and maybe add info on hover or something.

@DrewDad,
Thing is, there is no universal rule for when daylight savings starts and individual time zones don't even always do it regularly.

But I have some cool things planned for this, like reading your system clock and adjusting automatically.

@ossobuco,
If I have to reply to osso what can I say?

I would like to know what "voted up" and "voted down" means. I can see it means agreeing or not agreeing but does the vote have any other effect?

@spendius,
I have been clicking on the thumbs up and thumbs down signs to see what happened. I hope it doesn't mean I have been voting. Perish the thought.

If so, apologies all round.

@spendius,
Hard to say. I suspect that threads or posts can be auto-set to 'hidden' based on enough of a negative score. It certainly seems to be that way in the politics tag forum.

Cycloptichorn

on edit - yup, it's at -4 votes, a topic gets hidden. You can already see Gunga and Cj's posts getting hidden in the politics (arena? cloud? area?)

Goodbye, folks. It's been nice knowing y'all. I'm outa here as soon as I can click on the appropriate icon. If I wanted mass confusion, I'd just look in the mirror and talk to myself instead of going through this totally and completely confusing bovine manure. Thanx for nuthin', Crave.

@Merry Andrew,
Merry, give it some time. I know you well enough to know that you aren't going to throw away that many friendships just over your initial confusion.

This site is easier to use than the last, it's just that you've had quite a few years on the last. Give it and us time to acclimate.

@spendius,
Spenidus, Craven explained the whole voting thing at some length in one of the threads he started about the move, but I am having trouble getting a link that works right now to that particular thread (whereas the links to the # 2 and #4 threads do work.)

It's The a2k World is Changing 3 thread.

@Cycloptichorn,
Yes, cyclops, I clicked on one that had a zero, with a thumbs down just to see what would happen, such as would it read -1, and I think it disappeared, at least that is my impression, who really knows. I guess whether an opinion is now heard here is now based upon how popular somebody is, or how many friends one has here. Is this a pure democracy, wherein if you are in the minority, somebody merely does away with you? Maybe debator abortions are the new rule of the day here?

@okie,
I think it really changes to -1, but simultaneously, it gets hidden from your view. Other can still see the post.

Unless many posters vote the post down. It seems that eventually, it will get hidden for all posters as standard (even though you can set when it will disappear for you, based on the ratings by others, based on the threshold you set in your preferences).

(Not that I speak with any authority... just based on observation...)
