@Gargamel,
And this bitch-ass avatar isn't going to cut it.

Pardon me while I put on something a little more comfortable.

@Region Philbis,
I see that there are 138 people online. Any way of seeing who they are?

And what is "fit to post"?

@Craven de Kere,
I'm confused. Is everyone else taking this change well? How can I find the Forums? Why was the change made in the first place? So far I don't like it.

@dagmaraka,
"Fit to post" will expand the post so that there are no scroll bars.

(Originally, I thought you were approving of the poster. Wink )

You can make it automatically expand by selecting options in your profile.

Hey Vonda. There was a lot of talk about switching to the new format for quite some time, so most of us knew. It had to happen as the old format could not handle the volume of posts efficiently. It will keep developing, Craven and Nick are working very hard to fix any glitches that come with a new site.

You cannot see a list of everyone online. Also, keep in mind this is both guests and members. However, if you go to a users profile, it will say 'online' in green next to their username if they are online. Note that there is a preference 'display online status'. If this is set to 'no', then you will not appear online, even when you actually are.

If someone posts a really long post, or a huge image, for example, It will appear cut off, and there will be scroll bars to view the entire thing. If you click 'fit to post' it will remove the scrollbars, and instead expand the box to the correct size to see everything.

That's putting it mildly. How do you find the threads? Especially new ones.

@Linkat,
good question linkat, either that or we are both idiots. I can see the thumbs up for each post but how do i vote up a particular thread. ie rockheads music thread, the one from the old site not the new one brrey the mod started.

@Region Philbis,
I suppose voting for the first post within the topic = voting for the topic...?

@Region Philbis,
Correct. Also, if you vote up the first post in a thread, it is the same as voting up the topic
