And really reminded my of the Herd's cover of Redgum's 'Only 19' and a little bit of Everlast's 'What it's like'

Little B - The Shadows just came up on random, sure sounds like Blister In The Sun - Violent Femmes to me.

This had me thinking Ed Kuepper was doing a Nick Cave cover
Samish chord sequence, monotone marching vocals. It's probably just me.

This song inspired the James Bond theme. The lyrics are brilliant.

Corduroy's 'Follow That Arab' is like a bunch of bridges joined together, but one bridge sounds like it's lifted from the original oz cast recording of 'Heaven on Their Minds' from Jesus Christ Superstar
You can't embed 'queued' links to the two (because A2K can't embed https://youtu.be/ and youtube doesn't allow queuing paramaters on full blow links so here are the links to avoid listening to entire videos to figure out what I'm talking about.
Just listening to an acoustic guitar instrumental version of 'When You Wish Upon A Star' - and swear I can hear 'short, but not to big around' from Roger Miller's King Of The Road.
Pulled out another instrumental version by the Drummonds - I can still hear it.
Chord patterns aren't the same
GADG as opposed ADEA i.e. 1-2-5-1 vs 1-4-5-1

Another stolen bridge
UK goth rock act The Alphabet had a track called 'The Handsome Beast' on the B side of their only single and the bridge on that track (queued for your listening pleasure): https://youtu.be/n8W5TtIyeK8?t=373
Sounds startlingly like the end refrain from Midnight Oil's 'Koala Sprint' (recorded 1979) - a haunting little instrumental piece - so much like it in fact that I tried to see if any of the members were expat Australians - but found little bio. https://youtu.be/cl4kklSgtks?t=234
I should have mentioned that the first track was recorded around 1984.

@boomerang,
OK - Eminence Front just came up on random - and I can definitely hear what you're saying (white funk and shouty chorus - admittedly slightly slower for the Who than KC.

I don't what it is about these songs, but they just sound similar to me. So much so that I got them confused for awhile.
...Which also reminds me of (my vinyl lps still in my library) Deep Purple's Highway Star:

Joe Bonamassa's Spanish Boots came up on random
Which was reminding me a Led Zepellin song that I couldn't quite pull out of my brain.
So I did some research as you do and found out Bonamassa was covering Jeff Beck's Spanish Boots
Which was also reminding me of Led Zepellin - so I started searching for stuff that said Led Zep ripped off Jeff Beck - and that's when I discovered the song I was looking for was The Lemon Song.
So in conclusion Led Zep's Lemon Song sounds like Jeff Beck's Spanish Boots because Page was ripping off Beck's licks.
I'm listening to the 10 CD set Complete Motown Number 1's
Stevie Wonder's 'Part Time Lover' started up and I thought - 'I didn't know Hall and Oates' "Maneater" was a cover' - turns out it isn't, but the similarities are so obvious that there are mashups of the two songs all over youtube and lots of people talk about on the web.
