@jpinMilwaukee,
You must be joking! I know nothing about baseball or football. Hockey? I know even less. Count me in if you can round up players here.

Do I have to know anything about it? (We do own a movie in which one of the leads plays the part of a former hockey player.)

@Foxfyre,
I think I'll pass - I don't even want to know anything about hockey...
in contrast to soccer/futbol, which I would like to learn more about (as in anything at all..).

Football question -
Towards the end of the SD - Oakland game, my guy Sproles got in a 67 yd run.

Quoting cbs/glog: "Sproles takes the kick from 2 yards deep, and he breaks a huge 67-yard run. Excellent blocking and a good cut gets them great field position on the Raiders' 35."

That's not showing up on my Dognosed Sharks data as either a reception or rushing.. Doesn't a punt runback count, or is yahoo just slow?

@ossobuco,
I don't think those yardage stats count. If he had scored a TD, though, I think it would have counted.

@Ticomaya,
Thanks, Tico. I've since looked up the game in week 2 when he ran a lot (nearing 300 yds), but his punt runback then didn't count at the time.

@ossobuco,
In standard Yahoo scoring his kickoff return did not count (which is why it does not register as a rushing or receiving TD for him in week 2), but in the A2K_2008 league's scoring, return touchdowns do count as 6 points. Had he been on your roster that week, it would have counted for you.

If you look at his stats for the 2008 season, it shows him having 1 "Ret TD".

@jpinMilwaukee,
I'm in!

Hello out there! We're on the air,
It's Hockey Night tonight;
Tension grows, the whistle blows,
And the puck goes down the ice.
The goalie jumps, and the players bump,
And the fans all go insane;
Someone roars, "Bobby scores!"
At the good old hockey game.

Oh! The good old hockey game,
Is the best game you can name;
And the best game you can name,
Is the good old Hockey game!

[spoken] "Second period...."
Where players dash with skates a-flash,
The home team trails behind;
But they grab the puck and go bursting up,
And they're down across the line.
They storm the crease like bumble bees,
They travel like a burning flame;
We see them slide the puck inside,
It's a one-one hockey game.

Oh! The good old hockey game,
Is the best game you can name;
And the best game you can name,
Is the good old Hockey game!

[spoken] Third period! Last game in the playoffs, too!"
Oh, take me where the hockey players
Face-off down the rink;
And the Stanley Cup is all filled up,
For the champs who win the drink.
Now the final flick of a hockey stick,
And the one gigantic scream:
"The puck is in" - The home team wins
The good old hockey game!

Oh! The good old hockey game,
Is the best game you can name;
And the best game you can name,
Is the good old Hockey game!

When my marginal replacement wide receiver managed to come with with 5 pts in the 4th quarter to barely squeak by the Ticomaniacs, I thought the Owls might be in third place. But nooooo, ZOOM---the Grand Wazoo tromps right over their heads....leaving tire tracks and everything.

And this week we are playing a 0-4 team that has more projected points than we do.

That isn't good is it?

@Foxfyre,
Depends on if you are you or the 0-4 team...
