A friend of mine installed magicJack on his computer. It's supposed to allow incoming and outgoing phone calls (to a landline phone) for less than $20/year.

It worked fine for a couple of weeks but when he tried to upgrade it, the download stalled halfway through.

Now magicJack won't work and his entire computer is slow and crashy.

Any ideas?

No ideas, but I've heard good things about magicJack from others, so I'm interested to hear what happens.
