What is the superior show?
To me it stacks up this way:
Homer vs. Peter......Homer
Louis vs. Marge.......Tie
Chris vs. Bart.......Chris
Meg vs. Lisa........Tie
Stewie vs. Maggie....Stewie
Santa's Litte Helper vs. Brian......Brian
Family Guy holds the advantege in family characters, but The Simpsons have the advantege in the townspeople.
So I am undecided.
Oh man, tough choices...I love them both, but the Simpsons have the wider exposure. I wonder if Craven will pop in, he is a total Stewie addict.
Mine ;-)
Homer vs. Peter......Homer (by a fair amount)
Louis vs. Marge.......Tie (But Lois could have been better in a few seasons)
Chris vs. Bart.......Bart, Chris is funnier but only in a very small role. Bart carried a few Simson shows, Chris couldn't do that (even in that one where he became an artist he was forgetable)
Meg vs. Lisa........Tie
Stewie vs. Maggie....Stewie by leaps and bounds a pity that it took them 2 seasons to figure out that he was the star.
Santa's Litte Helper vs. Brain......Brain, again by far
Family Guy was much funnier, but I'd give the Simpsons the nod for longevity (and longevity by far).
Nice call Cav,
But Family Guy got cancelled for not shying away from gay, racial....well lets just say offensive jokes. So you can't fault them for getting cancelled. But to me Quagmeyer and Ralph are the X-Factors.
Giggidy giggidy giggidy..
Family Guy characters rocked. But during the Simson's long run they developed a HUGE 'cast'. Maybe the biggest cast of semi-regulars of all time.
List all the Simpsons characters.
That is a huge advantege for The Simpsons.
My favorite Quagmeyer quote is "Oh Right"
"Sure Louis, I'd do everything to you. I mean I'd do anything for you."
"Does this look like a Q?" "How about now?"
