Deck Stain

What's the best deck stain out there on the market? I stain my deck every other year and last time I used a product called Flood with UV protection and after two coats it still looked as if i hadn't done anything. I know the wood didn't absorb all of that stain, so I want a darker cedar type color with waterproof/UV blocker. Any suggestions? Thanks
