FRIDGE FREEZER - Rattling noise - drain pan??

Hey there

My fridge freezer is making an awful rattling/hum noise and it is probably quite old. Someone said I should check the drain pan to make sure it isn't loose or full?

Can anyone tell me where in the fridgefreezer this is and how to check it?

Many many thanks! Smile

Usually, remove the plate under the door - It should pop out. Lie flat on your stomache to see it. Some of them are tied in with strapping tape but others are loose. You can slide it out and clean it. then set it back to see if slight repositioning will stop the noise.

I saw a noisy frig last week. One of the copper lines under there was vibrating against the framework. You can pull it away (careful not to bend it or pull the end of it loose) or put a something to shim it if the spot is not hot.
