My sorryness varies for starting this.

I regard RH very well. I like himself for himself, and not a savior persona. I prefer he like himself.

He is among our brightest and most sensitive.
I do agree I was miles out of line for starting this, and I don't remember which posts, now, set me off. I don't know his movements or his internet access.
I gather I've worked my way into evil queen. At least for a bit I can take it.

It is also the polite courtliness that isn't at all patronizing. Gotta say, the man has it, whatever it is.

Joe, do some research and write a book. It's been done before but I can't think of one that was spot on with equal parts seriousness and humor.

There all sorts of things--here are some that are pretty common to most women: first of all, a good mind, humor, conversationalist, variety of interests plus interest in the world, not just his world of business, etc.

What do you think women like or want? (This is a strange thread for this conversation, but it is quite an improvement).

Here, Joe. Look for yourself! Resistance is futile.

I just wanna say that I fell head over heels with both Francis and ob1 - lovely men both, for different reasons. And if either of them wanted to join us or meet up again, I'd be there in a heartbeat. As far as CJ goes, she was a treat... pretty much exactly what I'd met here and no disappointments.

I am positive I'll feel the same about the people meeting up in ABQ, so I'm ready to have some fun.

Yay hoo!

eCHO THAT! (Oops, sorry about the caps, but they fit well enough)

I just waded first through Chai's thread insinuating O'Bill was an abuser and now here Osso seemingly doing the same about Rockhead. Jeebus. I had no idea about all these dramatic undercurrents of intense reproach and suspicion. I understand nothing. But this is no good. What a mess.

I apologize for not letting this thread lie, but I must say that one of the functions of the thread might be to permit us to discharge with impunity. No one can say that Osso has not be an exemplary member of this community. And sometimes she has been extradordinarily supportive. Consider her post to RexRed on the occasion of his fairwell:

"Rexred -
You may not remember me - we used to argue on art threads a long long time ago.

If you've noticed me at all, you'll have picked up on my lack of [religious] belief. though I don't post on that all that often.

The weird thing about a2k is, despite and sometimes almost because of our differences, we do grow to care about each other.
Please reconsider."

How sweet is that?

JLN, I've never known you be without a point, but I am missing it with this slice of frivolity...

Question

(I gotta shut down and relocate, but I will check back)

alien being
such an odd discovery I've made. For the most part, I've responded on A2K (and also Abuzz) and yet I feel that I'm unknown or somehow distanced from the other regulars. Not whining, by any means, but just feeling a wee bit alienated, perhaps.

I care for quite a few here and am interested in most here (at some level)...and I regard them as friends but it's almost a secret thing. After 8 or 9 years, it just seems somehow odd.

Did you ever make us an offer we can't refuse? Offer to buy everybody dinner?

Hey Ragman...

I'm still relatively new here - and see you as a one of the regulars and enjoy reading your posts. You are certainly not unknown. Smile Really.

Perhaps if you put one of these - Smile - over your avatar, thus making you appear to be smiling. Yeah, that's it. You need a smile there.

ok..here's a bit of news..I have to share this...it's too exciting NOT to:

I'm moving out of my tiny apartment on or before 7/31. Tired of being cramped and friend are bing a 2nd home for which I'll be a caretaker. this property is a 6-acre farm, equipped with veggie and flower gardens and newly planted fruit orchard with 23-yr-old contempory-styled house. If anyone's interested, I've got pix I took already. they needed insurance pix so I got the place to pose for it.

I might even share the space with a dog now! Could be looking for Border Collie or perhaps smaller...a Yorkshire Terrier. Friends who own the place have 3 Border Collies.
