My husband and I just moved (the houses are within 10 minutes of each other) and want to disconnect and reconnect our Rainsoft Amazon Gold softwater system ourselves. Is there a manual with specific instructions on how to do this? I'm pretty sure my non-plumber (but very handy) husband could do it if he had a manual with pictures.
Take a digi picture of the current set-up and connection.
Cut the water off, bleed off pressure and cut her loose keeping the bypass assembly intact.
Reconnect the plumbing and move the system in a fully upright position to the new house.
Cut off the water, bleed off pressure, install the system in an appropriate location remembering to hook up the drain line with an air gap.
The computer will retain programing if you do everything the same day.
Once the system is online, run cold water in a tub to purge air. Plug the unit in and enjoy.

Thanks for getting back so quickly! Sorry, I don't get to the computer quite as much as I probably should.
When the guy hooked up the rainsoft system, he attached a pvc pipe to it that runs up into the garage roof and through it and I'm not sure where it goes to. I'll have my husband go check it out, but do you have any idea where it would be connected to? Maybe the water heater?
I so appreciate any help.

That is probably the drain line. It should stay there and you would run another one in the new location but.... IMO it is not a good idea to move a softener from one house to another because if the second house ir larger, the softener will probably be too small for the increased flow rate gpm of the new house. But then RS usually sold/sells undersized softeners to start with.
