Rainsoft Start Up

I have been scouring the Able2Know forums but I am out of luck.
I have a Silver Series model - AMC 75 CT 60hz. (Circa 1999 with the manual settings for regen, backwash and saline content.)

It sat ideal for 18 months to a year with bypass valves closed.
Question is how to start it backup?

I have cleaned the brine tank and loaded 2 40lb bags of morton salt pellets (Yellow bag)
Than I was concerned with backwash vs Saline levels vs regen cycles.
Please let me know the proper 'startup'peocedure. So it can help me with the hard water.
Note: When it was turned off it was working.
