A friend of mine is looking for american and british legal fictions.
She needs tv shows involving recurrent figures of lawyers, judges, etc.
Her problem is that she lives in Paris, so here the access to american and british series is very limited.
Do you have references, titles, links, or anything else that could help her with her corpus? She needs british legal series in particular.
Thanks in advance.
"Law & Order" is probbaly the most popular current TV series in the U.S. that would fill your needs. I'm not sure if episodes can be viewed on-line or not.
Thanks.
Anything else? (She needs a lot of shows, for her analysis to be as precise as possible)
"Boston Legal" and "Eli Stone" are both current TV programs as well although both are more about the character's activities outside of the courtroom than within it.
If you can get it (it hasn't been on the air for over 10 years), get tapes of LA Law, which is pretty good at showing procedures and also at showing what actually goes on in law firms. But most of us who've worked in law firms did not spend a goodly part of our time sleeping around, so keep that in mind.
