Pifka posted the correct full url to the photo. But mebbe the other site doesn't want a photo located on another site, it may be asking you to upload a photo from your hard drive.

In my 8:22 post I said URL and meant to say use the IMG box. No wonder it didn't work for you, Deb. Sorry for the confusion.

Deb very well may correct me on this later by explaining the situation a bit more, but this doesn't sound like a problem with syntax to me, roger.

But in the "Reply" option, the options include IMG and URL. I don't think my first effort was really helpful.

But she isn't trying to post it here. The other site may be asking her to upload a photo, in which case bbcode and/or html tags won't help much.

The other site is probablyblocking the upload because MSN's crazy ass way of naming pictures is only suited for their crazy ass site.

They add a heap of uneccessary junk to the URL and I bet the other site is not letting you upload because the picture url has some junk after the filetype and the other site is filtering out odd filetypes.

Here is the image URL ending in the jpg filetype. Hopefully the other site will recognize it as an image.

I have no idea what my 'thingy' will help. This is kinda like getting a phone call from a guy trying to operate an airplane and all he'll say is "it won't work. What do I do".

Saving something to your hard drive obviously won;t do anything to help get it on this site you speak of.

did you try to upload it from your hard drive?

Is the response you are getting "it won't work" or do they tell you something informative?

Please be descriptive. The fact that you are here indicates that it isn't working so we know that already.

Try saving the image as image.jpg and try to upload it.

If it doesn't work tell us what you did in detail and what the results were.

Are you up for another guess? Right click on the photo and select "Save As". My computer and operation system immediately gave the option of saving to "My Pictures", which is where I save my pictures on disk - oddly enough. I dunno. It might work.

I tried to help her by IM, as per usual with these puter things she gave up. ;-)

Thanks Roger - I think I might harass the site management when they come back - whenever that is - though I WILL try that idea!
