I have a rainsoft water softener i cant find any of my books on the settings to program it!Had a storm with power outage,and of course the backup battery was dead, now it just blinks. this is an older model i don't even see a model # on it,it does say with ion-x 100,its green in color with a metal settings box,i hope this helps ?unit is probably 10 to 15 years old has worked flawlessly since we have lived here till now . Could someone help me with these settings ?
Sounds like an old AQ.
Pull the plug, remove the old 9V and replace it with a fresh battery.
The basic set instructions are located on the label on top of the green metal box.
You will need to know how hard your water is, this information should be written on the label.

hello , H2o man thank-you for answering,yes there is a lable on top of the green box but it is blank,my salt box is half full maybe 50#to 100#of salt,i also have well water, very hard, will this help you on my settings?

Nope.
I need to know what size softener you have, how hard your water is and if Iron is an issue before I can help with the settings.
