we sure do! those and pomas:
that's my genius nephew
and this is High Tatras, the most beautiful mountain range on this planet, no doubt about it.
We have pomas with spring loaded ropes. The attendants grab them as they pass, jam them between your legs and you wait until the rope runs out of slack to be sling shotted up the slope. Beginner mayhem. I only ever saw one j-bar run, at smiggin holes from memory
we have no attendants. we do it ourselves. ur a bunch of amateurs, i laugh in your general direction.
(or i will once i stop hurting all over from the last skiing)

We are indeed amateurs, we get about 5 acres of snow for about 3 months of the year, being the hottest, driest, flattest, continent. I still don't understand how we had an Olympic champion and a couple of world champions in wintersports - oh that's right - the events we won involved suicidal tendencies (arials, speedskating, moguls). We even had competitors in the Skeleton who were picked before they'd seen snow. Weird.

reminds me of the Cool Runnings....the movie about the Jamaican bobsledding team.
I'm only here for the photos.
maybe we could have an a2k gathering on snow -- all go to some bunny slope, go sledding, skiing, snowboarding, snowball fighting.... i'm exhausted just typing that.
figure skating. i can just picture it: Gustav with CJ, Slappy would do solo, JoeNation would be the commentator....
