it is a matter of degree, the more conscious you are of your or someone else's existence, the more sad you are going to be when they die.

CONSCIOUSLY, too.
I was conversing with a fellow I met recently, who said so.
He was not in great distress; he seemed to be getting along OK.

I mentioned people having told of out of body experiences
( sometimes in a state of death, in hospitals, who were brought back ).

He spoke admiringly of an END and hoped that life did not continue
beyond death of the material flesh n bones.
