I'm looking for the name of a BBC show from the 1980's. It was an interesting show and had a nerdy host who would explain how everyday items worked. He also had a bearded partner who would help him with demonstrations. It was kind of a combination of educational stuff combined with Mythbusters. It seemed like they were headquartered at a junk yard of some time. The only distinctive thing I remember was that the opening song was a raga version of Take Five by Dave Brubeck. Any help is appreciated.
Are you referring to "The Secret Life of Machines" with Tim Hunkin and Rex Garrod?
It started in 1988 in Channel 4 in the UK. It still airs on the Discovery Channel here in the U.S..
