If you magnify the gospels above the epistles then what did Jesus death accomplish? The advent of the holy spirit on Pentecost was not even come! Jesus' death and resurrection accomplished holy boldness!

Christians should be prosperous and not downtrodden. It is the joy to serve and yes love rules but if your neighbor hates you and wants you dead what are you going to do about it? God will tell you when the time comes but it will not involve cowardly concessions in the name of liberal progressivism.
