Huckabee: Fertilized Egg Is Person

Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee has endorsed an amendment to Colorado's constitution declaring that a fertilized egg is a person.

"This proposed constitutional amendment will define a person as a human being from the moment life begins at conception," Huckabee said in a statement backing the Colorado Human Life Amendment.

"With this amendment, Colorado has an opportunity to send a clear message that every human life has value.

"Passing this amendment will mean the people of Colorado will protect the sanctity of life from conception until natural death occurs."

The amendment's supporters need to collect an estimated 76,000 petition signatures to get the measure on the November ballot, according to the Denver Post.

If approved, the amendment would bestow constitutional rights to life, liberty, equality of justice, and due process of law to every fertilized egg, the paper reported.

The amendment is opposed by pro-choice groups, who fear it could set the stage for outlawing abortions in Colorado.

When does the Bible say "life" begins? When biblically is a person a "living soul"? Is Huckabee reading from the progressive's gospel? Beware...

How do we know, by what Mike Huckabee says or what the Bible says? Can we trust what Huckabee "thinks" as truly being biblical? What does the Bible say? Can we trust what the Bible says? These are all very vital questions that need answers…

Just ask yourself, where does the Bible mention fertilized eggs?

Is Huckabee out on a limb on this one? Is this latest revelation political or biblical?

What does the Bible say about "life"? It would figure that once we collectively learn what the Bible says about life we should be able to make at least a "biblically" informed decision ourselves.

Some people are reading from different pages and some aren't reading from the "good book" at all. They are simply stating what they personally think and "feel". Feelings are no guarantee for truth. Feelings change and fluctuate but the truth never changes, it is just as true today as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow.

First I must say I am not describing Huckabee here although he may not be completely excluded.

Archaic meaning following the traditions of the church rather then what is actually written in the Bible. This means that one must skip over entire sections of the Bible in order to remain faithful to their church. So the liberal progressives who seldom ever open the Bible anyway simply accept what these archaic biblical believers have promulgated. Thus it is the blind leading the blinded.

The archaic believer ultimately has been taught the the Bible is not quite holy (though they may not admit that) but only man made and this excused them to follow the church doctrines over STUDYING what the word of God really says. Thus the word of God takes a back seat to what the seminary teaches. Many unclear scriptures are then heralded high above a wealth of very plain and clear scriptures creating contradiction and chaos in the word of God. Each religion then once shooting down the integrity and accuracy of the Bible are free to pick and choose at will the parts they like and deny the parts that do not fit what they don't understand. They get lazy rather than trying to work out the difficult passages they just add their own supposition.

Parts are left out because initially they handled the word haphazardly and thus came to erroneous conclusions in the very first place so all subsequent reasonings do not fit with the scope of the Bible. It is like trying to count but denying numerals exist so you never come up with the right sum. Then they can take literally that which is figurative if they want and figurative that which is literal rather than seeking what God really meant in each situation.

If the integrity is gone then there is no use beating around the bush trying to find what is perceived as not able to be known. It is only one who believes in the words OVER AND ABOVE ALL TRADITION that will study them to the point of reaching the prize and pearls of wisdom they themselves alone reveal. This is the reason there is so much division in the Christian church today.

Yes, you both seem to know the archaic progressive's spin on the Bible quite well! Ever spent some time in the actual book yourself? You might be surprised by what you find there. That is if you have "spiritual" eyes and ears.
