if i wanted to travel the us via rail, is there any information i should know?
im talking about the hitch hiker vagabond way, just jumpin on.

how would i find their schedules and routes maps and whatever else i need to know?

Are you talking about hopping freights? I know people still did it thirty years ago, but I think more cars are sealed and inaccesible these days.

You must be talking about being a hobo, because with Amtrak you need reservations, and given the few number and small size of the trains these often must be arranged days or weeks in advance.

I think you should call Amtrak and make reservations, OGIONIK.

The train is a good idea, though. I'd rather travel by train than plane these days! :wink:
