I have a question about ads on this site

OMG am I on time with the question thingy? Never mind Rolling Eyes

My real question is the ads on this site. Doesn't anyone notice them and the sex ones especially? This site has an age restriction, but no one cares about these ads?

I personally am sick and tired of them. Here is an example of one.

I can't tell you if she really does because that site doesn't support macs.

I don't know how these ad things work and how they support a website and I am open minded, but come on.....I can't be the only one to notice these ads. More importantly are the site owners aware of them and actually approve of them.

I know that was said wandeljw so thanks (meant sincerely).

I normally don't notice the ads either, but this specific one is constantly at the top of the page or the side of the page and the girls are 1/2 naked in sexual positions. If it was once in a while I wouldn't mind, but it is on a daily basis and I am just getting sick of it. Normally, if a person doesn't like something "they change the channel", but in this case it would mean don't even log into this site because I am guaranteed to have it in my face almost daily no matter what page I am on.

I also don't understand the concept of a link, like the one I posted, being seen as spam, but the ad isn't.

Download firefox and use its ad blocker program.

I see no ads.

But, in all fairness, the owner/operator of A2k has no real control over what a company uses to advertise its product on here.
So there isnt much that can be done

Thanks that makes sense to me , but I can't change the browser on the computer I am using since the computer doesn't belong to me Sad

Yes, I can crop the sides, but not the top. That is okay, I will just deal with it since I really have no choice.

I mainly wanted to know if these sex ads bothered anyone else and if the site owners were aware of them.

Anyway, I'm trying to tune the ads out as much as possible, so I'm hardly conscious of them most of the time lately, but yeah, they bug me too. I don't even look at a2k anymore if I'm on campus because the ads so often make it look like I'm on some weird site...(I wouldn't worry about that except that people ask you to get off the school computers if you're looking at stuff that's obviously not school-related.) I need to download Firefox I guess. Anyway I wanted to tell you you're not alone in disliking them, TTH.

So, what I don't understand is how a site owner cannot have control over the ads being displayed on the site he/she owns.
