TRANSPORTED

Theresa ran after Nellie's son Peter offering Robinsonian THEATRICALITIES elegantly displayed.

Ted ran after Nellie's sister Patricia offering rigorous THEATRICALITIES every day.

THEATRICALITIES

Teddy hasn't even attempted the ribald, IRREVERENT comedy, "A Little Irony." There isn't enough scene-chewing....

(which TIMES- London or New York- I want to read it to find out if I'm a sugar mummy - my son obviously loves me - he just spent a bundle to make one of my dreams come true - and here I thought he had forgotten mother's day entirely- these crazy kids....)

IRREVERENT

If Rabelais Ronnie's entertaining Veronica's "enchanting" relatives enter not therein.

London of course.

I hate mothers and I hate mothers bloody day. You don't seriously think I, spendi hissveryself, would sully this thread with arty acronyms about soppy mummie worship. I couldn't get away from it fast enough. Aunties too. I was a cuddly little sod unfortunately. I used to go out and wash my face in a puddle when visiting aunties had pissed off. I hated best behaviour. But my uncles always gave me a pound. Restitution I think they thought of it as. I quite like uncles.

Did the Robinsonian clue not ping a little bell? A syrup joke I think.

All mothers? I'm sorry to hear that. But I think you'd LOVE my mother - if you met her. No one can resist her - she is the sweetest lady...I'd love to see you meet my mom Spendius- she'd say, 'Well hello, Mr. Spendius...how are you. Please come in and make yourself at home and then she'd ply you with food and drink....whatever she could do to insure your comfort. How could you hate someone like that?

Again, you had the wrong sort of aunts I suppose - my nephews and I have a blast. The other day one of them was talking to his girl on the cell phone and I was standing right there and he'd say, 'What're you doing tonight?'
And I'd say, 'Nothing, why, you want to go to a movie?' And he'd try to ignore me and try to talk to his girl and his mom and I are falling on the floor laughing because his girl is probably thinking - 'Who's that other woman in the background talking to him...' Sometimes we watch ultimate fighting together too.

I hated best behaviour. But my uncles always gave me a pound. Restitution I think they thought of it as. I quite like uncles.
I liked my uncles too - they always made me feel better about my freckles saying things like, 'the sun just loves you so much - every freckle is a kiss from the sun...' stuff like that.

REGRESSES

Ronnie edged gradually round Elsie's SUSPENDER straps especially slowly.

It's about these ceiling busting women cruising around the net looking for young lads for fun with no strings. All the rage it seems. I suppose it's compensation for having bust the ceiling.

I have been taken advantage of in this way my self a couple of times. I was mortified. It happened to Shakespeare but I got over it.

GRABBED

Go rob a bank buddy - end DESTITUTION

*Spendius - why do you care what all the rage is? Why don't you just do what works for you and leave it at that? People use other people as utilitarian objects all the time in all sorts of ways- is one sort of taking advantage any worse than another?
It all seems sort of sad and desperate to me - but it's none of my business. I've always preferred emotional connection - but that's just me. Other women who are busting through some sort of ceiling or another can do whatever they want (I guess as long as it's legal).

So much judgment and negativity....why do people care who other people have sex with (again, as long as it's legal and consensual). I'd be embarrassed to admit that I give a **** who other people are sleeping with - it'd mean that my own life was lacking or boring- you know?

Anyway - the word is DESTITUTION

The word is DESTITUTION

(edited to say - I didn't do that double destitution purposely - but I kind of like it Laughing )

IMPROVEMENT

I might, perhaps, reprove Olga's VOLUNTEERING experimental mumminess evolving novel trends.

aidan-- who said I cared? I never even implied that I cared.

I'm a sociologist some of the time and growing or declining trends are of interest as they are to the editor of the ST Magazine and, if he knows his onions, his readers and he has a large number.

Anybody who doesn't care what's all the rage is an iconoclast. Out of it.

I have always been against too easy divorce and too many women acting like men, but if you have those things, and I assume you're in favour of them, Sugar Mummies are inevitable. I'd bet none of the ceiling busters interviewed in the article are Catholics. Maybe they have been reading Brantome's Lives of Gallant Ladies.

If, as you say, it is none of your business why do you feel the need to say they are "sad and desperate"? How do you know they are sad and desperate?

Before you sit back and do nothing about the decline of religion and the growth of moral relativism and materialism you should know what the consequences look like. That was the point. It was also the point of The Graduate.

If you care to peruse the ID thread you will see that I fight that battle single-handed and minus the holier-than-thou stuff.

VOLUNTEERING.

VOLUNTEERING

Violet only loved unspoiled, natural terrain...every evening roaming in nature's GARDEN. Laughing

Well, I consider myself somewhat of a social scientist too - in that I do love to observe and find trends sort of interesting. But I also have to admit I can be sort of an iconclast (out of it) by choice. I used to be aware of every little thing that went on - sort of like a newshound - some days I kid you not I would read four or five newspapers cover to cover - even the frigging sports. But it all gets to be too much sometimes-depressing.

Now the only piece of news I feel that I've missed out on that I care about knowing is what Halle Berry named her baby - did she go weird or traditional? (just kidding).

You assume wrongly - I'm not enamored of too easy divorce. I take commitment to something or someone very seriously. That's why I've only ever been married once.
In terms of women acting like men - I think people should be free to be who they are. I do believe in manners - and I was raised to act like a lady by my mother - I'm teaching my daughter the same things - but I have no say or control over what other people teach their children.

When I say that the whole thing seems kind of sad and desperate sometimes - I'm just looking at trends too. As emotional commitment and connection seem to have fallen by the wayside- it seems that the incidence of depression in our society has skyrocketed.
I can only assume there might be a correlation in people who can't make emotional connections (as well as physical/sexual) and so are sad - and maybe even desperate for sensation of some sort with anyone.

I don't talk about God with people who don't have respect for the idea. That's something I won't share or put out there for ridicule. I was going to write something about why I like to go to church on that specific thread though.

So Uri's really returning? Exciting news! Did Emily return? Ed? DEMITRIUS?

*Dutchy - sorry about that - I figured I was pushing it - but participation had dwindled - even by you - so I figured - what the heck...you know? But I'll stop now as soon as I tell Spendius the following:

I dont mean the ID thread...are you kidding? Setanta would get on there calling me names and trying to excorciate me for my views and beliefs - not interested. I mean the thread that specifically asked - why do you like to go to church or what does religion do for you in your life or some such...
I don't want religion in the schools in America Spendius. You have to have a realistic picture of how Americans present views to understand why not - a lot of them are incapable of presenting a balanced and objective viewpoint- picture Bill O'Reilly in the classroom. That'd be what you'd get.
You're picturing your English classrooms with British teachers and students...it aint like that here.

It's been nice talking to you though - come talk to me on that other thread (if you want - not trying to be pushy or anything Laughing ).
