It's been done before, and I don't see why one has to abide by it. I also thought E should be wild, so that other letters get a chance, and several people did that until spendius put the kybosh on it and went anti-y.

Nobody said you had to abide by it. If you wish to be unpopular you have a perfect right to be.

I made a case for XYZ on the basis of the very small number of choices they allow. There's 50-odd pages of E in the Collins. What is the case against E? I'll listen. As a gesture of goodwill I'll try to avoid them pending the argument being put.

BTW- There's a gap in the Collins where the Oxford has "tumescence".
