Help !!! My Rainsoft system is constantly "running". The sound is kind of like the sound it makes when "cycling", but not as loud. Also, it appears it has not used any salt in at least a month. I figured it must be time to refill the salt, but, it's all still there from the last time. Any advice?
Put the by pass valve in by pass and check the manual for troubleshooting procedures.
Your system is stuck in backwash or fast rinse, by pass the system.
Depending on the control valve it could be a sheared pin, worn out index lever, a dead clock or valve motor or a combination.
Is it a brass valve with a 14 day mechanical timer? Got pictures?
