You're not invited here in any case, so don't worry about it.
On the other hand, one aspect of visiting the United States that often confuses anybody from anywhere else in the world, is the sales tax there. (For instance in Europe, a Value-Added Tax (VAT) is already and always included in the price of everything sold = you pay exactly and only the price how it is announced.)
That is the biggest misnomer in the history of taxation !!!
