@mismi,
Good day crew,....Happy Friday to all. The day is all mine, so far. I am suppose to attend a new deck party tomorrow, although, it is my understanding, the "new deck, is not yet constucted. May not be my day.
My yesterday. Found myself helping a friend. Found myself bobbing up and down, in a fifteen foot aluminum boat, fixing his seawall. Windy. Felt wind blowing the flap on jeans, or,...felt the wind, blow a dock line, or something, against my leg,...looking down, discovering I was incorrect. Five and a half foot black snake,...After insanity, I grabbed snake by tail, seeing that I had welding gloves on, and this snake hissed, recoiled, opened its mouth,.....f a n g s ..wt....tossed in the water,..some how, the fact that there is supposedly only one poisonous snake in Michigan, did not comfort me. The snake made its way back to the boat, tried getting back in. I took the line pole, furthered it down the canal.

Stretching with stretching noises.
Good day all.

You are a brave man Alex, I will call you the incredible snake charmer from now on. Call yourself lucky, I've was bitten by one of them creatures, still bear the scars on my leg and was pretty sick for a couple of days.

Have a feeling mismi will show up shortly, I can hear the music. Smile

Howdy folks; how y'all been adoing?

I have just made it back for some extra supplies and a bath as I am beginning to spook the horses!

No seriously, being an only child and an orphan after I left my parents, I have come to look on the crew as my surrogate family and as such, I am very interested in the minutia of daily life.
You can therefore imagine my surprise when I read:

Quote: Lady J
"Gosh, I probably should have mentioned those few nights a week that Brooke dances in the strip club and makes awesome tips!"

I don't know Lady J, unless that is J Wandel before the operation! But I sure would like to know more about those tips. No, not for the IRS, more; were they sans tassels?

Anyways, there I was in the shower thinking of Missy when something came up!

Now, call me a Robert Redford lookalike (if you are blind) but you can sail through life blissfully unaware that there are questions you have never thought of, never mind have an answer, and so it came to pass there was a knock on the bathroom door (more of a rattling the tin can that was masquerading as the shower head affixed to a tree in this wilderness).
What could be so important as to interrupt such a moment?

Well, I have been accused of being far too serious in my posts, but let me tell you that's nothing compared to the 'Proff'. For those of you who may be unaware; the Proff is married to Missy, and he sucks up knowledge like I suck up a...er...milk shake, to wit; he can't get enough.

Why he probably has more letters after his name than I have ever written. We are talking; master's degree in business administration and a whole lot more beside! So it was natural that I would think of him as being the only person who could answer the question:

How should the time 'midnight' be written in numerals?

00.00
00.00 am
12.00 pm
00.00 pm

Needless to say a quick check with the A2K site showed 12.00 AM!!!

Ante Meridiem, in 12-hour clock notation, Latin for "before noon" (also written A.M., a.m., and am), in contrast to post meridiem (P.M., p.m., "after noon"). Is it time to say goodbye to Latin time and embrace the 24 hour clock?

So which would you choose, or is there yet another way?

Hang on; am I talking to myself here? Izzie is on vacation, all you lovely ladies all are back at work! Is there no one who just wants to goof off and go skinny dippin' for the day, with a picnic on the bank of the creek pool, under a cloudless blue sky?

I have a chilled bottle of Louis Roederer, Cristal Brut 1990, Millenium 2000, Methuselah!

Oh well, at least I should look on the bright side; there is more time to talk to the young whipper snapper. Alex - How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells. And pretty maids all in a row?

Soonest...

@Tryagain,
Talk about prattle.

The Prof. is all about reading but when he is not reading he is playing...reminds me of Peter Pan. Which is great - when there aren't things to be done around the house. But he makes me laugh.

Much like you dear Try. Good to see you. I like taking showers outside...sounds like you have quite the setup there.

Hugs to you Try.

Wasting a little time before starting dinner. Then gotta get myself organized as I work all weekend.

All of these work for me, except 00.00 pm, which makes no sense.
The first would be better written 00.00 hrs.

Anyway, today I took my old violin to the music shop to see if it was worth spending any money on and the man said yes it was okay, quite sound, not quiet sound although it has a mute, and so I bought a new case and a new bow for it. Really I want to dispose of it to some deserving person who might use it more, but my family are not so keen as I have had it since I was about ten years old. And that's not yesterday. It looks really nice snuggling into its new case. I cleaned it all up, rubbed it down with olive oil and polished it up a bit, and put new strings on it. The man said it's French, made sometime soon after 1900.

@Rockhead,

The French are doughty warriors (and very good at gypsy jazz) but the natural enemies of the English.

I joined the Foreign Legion to forget.

I don't know, can't remember.

natural enemies...

I guess mine would be the folks in Oklahoma.

we mostly focus on terrorists now, i think.

Always gotta be afraid of somebody, you know...

you gonna play us a jig, or not...???

@Tai Chi,
Snow flurries on the drive home from work today. It was a bit of a puzzlement - especially since I hadn't worn a coat this morning and had to really hustle to get to the car.

That's a great trip for a nice day, like today.

We have pleasant memories of same, upriver with Walter and Steve 41oo and their ladies.

How are they getting on with renovating the Cutty Sark?
