ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... MaMaVerby - you do sound happy girlie - that's so lovely to hear
Missy - poor G-baby - such a shame. Do know how you feel about having to miss work too to look after him. Thing is, with 3 little fellaz and them all getting sick now and again - it's hard to keep that consistency with work and then you end up feeling guilty... but you can only do what you can do and, if G-baby needs his MaMa... then that's what you gotta do. I do hope he is feeling better tomorrow.
We have all sorts of bugs going around at the moment - there's a very nasty sick bug and yesterday we had a kid with a rash - could be chicken pox (poor wee girl) ... good job I wasn't in then - I need to stay away from that particular nasty with the meds I'm on.
Sooooooooooooooooooooo... the children were just fabulous today - the weather was absolutely abysmal - in fact - they shortened the course a little bit because there was so much mud and the mist was right down - but not one child complained and we had loads of parent helpers marshalling the event all out there in there wellies. I was quite lucky - I didn't have to go out in the end - simply because it wasn't possible to get to the field without appropriate shoooz !
oh..... and
it was so weird
gosh, you know I told y'all that my previous Headteacher comes up to the school on her broomstick to do violin lessons - well, actually, now I just see her as a little 'old lady - she doesn't get to me any longer, I'm super sweet to her and she's is overly respectful to me .... BUT TODAY... my PREVIOUS PREVIOUS HEADTEACHER came to the school and the new headteacher of my old school - so we had three consecutive headteachers in the same place (tho violin lady just left as the others arrived tho, which was quite fortunate really as there's bad blood there)
now, that's all well and good - but what was really good - is ....I wasn't expecting Mr X-Head to be there and when I saw him I gave him a big hug and ... well, it was just nice. He's a big part of my past and R-boys childhood - he retired from my old school, which is how the witch came t be therel... very sad day for all of us, that was. Anyway, he runs the camera club in the town (has done for many, many years) and I had thought about going to it but knew I'd be revisiting the past and couldn't quite make myself go and see people who I knew - but today, I gave him my email address and asked him to let me know when it's on.... we talked cameras and photography for a while (he is an utterly brilliant photographer and has just published a book)...
so that was all good.
I think I will go and see him at the camera club - ha, it's held in the church I got married in all those years ago... haven't been in there since S-boy was christened
circles within circles... strange.
I just spoke to 3phone too and they are picking my phone up for repair tomorrow (mumble grumble)... darn gadgets!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh, and Murphy came home last night - so all are present and correct at chez Izzie. He's lying on my arm at the moment and is totally bedraggled - he looks like he's been swimming
You would not believe the rain here - verra wet and grey and miserable... but, definitely have a happy face going on. Looking forward to talking to FQ tonight - she's gonna be way tired from her trip but we'll be catching up later.
It was really nice at work today - everyone told me I looked good. That's nice. It was also lovely to see the children who I used to see at my previous school 4 years ago - they are all 'growed' up now - hard to believe they used to be so little when I was there. The cross country is a big event for our tiny school - kinda feel like breaking out in song each year....
Tradition
ha - guess what's happening tomorrow - we are a teacher short tomorrow afternoon - I HAVE TO GO TEACH THE 4-7 year olds to cook..... hahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhahhahha - that's just hysterical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well - they are 4 - 7. You could teach them to make toast and tea! I am pretty sure you can handle that! ((Izzie)) You sound good. Keep taking care of yourself hun.
It sounds like things are going well there at school. That is good and I think it's great you saw the old headmaster. He sounds like a sweety. Go to the camera club - it will be so good for you.
G-baby is doing better it seems. Has his Buzz Lightyear costume on and is running around. I probably ought to put a stop to that. It started out as "Momma, can I just put it on?" To the all out zooming around. Nipping it. Sad to say - but he can't be fannying about yet I don't think.
Izzie - just wanted you to know that Flat G made it back to us. So wonderful. We had the best time looking through all of the pictures and the boys (all three of mine) learned so much about where you live. It was awesome. It IS awesome. I have been on the computer showing them exactly where the ponies are and where on the map you are.
His teacher is going to be thrilled. Thank you so much! I can't imagine she is as excited as I am though.
Morning crew. Odd thing happened a2k wouldn't let me open this thread??? This time it looks I'm in. Whilst on that subject, a2k is very slow opening any threads and closing posts at my end this morning. Has anybody else experienced this?
Hey there Dutchy -
Everybody is having a problem...I think they are working on the site. It is pretty frustrating....I need things to click along. But I have to go anyway. Batting cages for the boys.
Thank you for that mismi, I thought it was my computer for a minute, also get the following message on a white screen "Fatal error: Exception thrown without a stack frame in Unknown on line 0". Will persevere, if it continues, I'll disappear.
Ah, hey crew - I had to give up last night because I just couldn't get into A2K - seems like the hmasters have been fed now and we are back up and running - yay for our hamsters
BUCKETS of rain this morning.... BUCKETS...
andddddddddddddd I just discovered the little fella breaks up from school on Friday for 3 weeks holiday... oh my, I shall have to take him to work with me next week. We're gonna be going up to FQ for some of the Easter Break as it is J-daughters 18th birthday so we're gonna do a family thing up in Norfolk
I have to work all day today and have a meeting later this evening for which I am hoping my adviser is going to have done all the stuff I need to look after me and my kids - we'll see.
kk - must dash, lots of water on the roads, reckon we may get a little flooding down here - dem cats and dawgs are falling out of the sky.
Wishing everyone a great day - hoping G-baby is better today - and YAY for Flat G arriving home safely - he had a lovely time visiting our school and meeting the chillern!
((((Bazza)))) - hoping you're fully recovered now and all is k at work.
BEAgle - yep, A2K was on and offline yesterday - I was so tired I had to go to bed in the end - glad you found your way back in tho. love love...
(((((((Blue)))))) come back soon y'here. xox
k- gotta go do work - catchup will y'all tonight (unless I can get a sneaky peek in a little later at work)
Good morning Izzie, have a nice day and drive carefully. (((Izzie)))

Bonjour!
I have news that will make your hair stand on end; but first....
SPRING BREAK!!!!! Did I mention that already...SPRING BREAK!!!
How about this for a coincidence; as y'all know I used to get all my supplies from the downtown trash cans, then after finding the few hectares I own surround Wall Street, I went upmarket and started to shoplift at Wal-Mart.
Well, can you imagine my surprise when with a coat overflowing with perishables I came across Missy and Co? The Proff seemed ok, the twins were running around, the little guy seemed subdued and Missy; well, apart from looking radiant (as ever) looked like she would have traded places with an extraterrestrial rather than be there.
Due to my overstocking malfunction I was unable to waddle over fast enough to say hi; but Missy, if you are out there and want to indulge in a little extraterrestrial affair I will be at the Polyeleos.....
How about this for another coincidence; in Greek polyeleos means 'much oil'. The Greek word for olive oil is very similar to the Greek word for 'mercy'.
Now everywhere you go in France the people in the street all call out for mercy. Hold the door open, give up your seat on the Metro (read 'subway' in English) and they all say mercy like they want forgiveness.
Anyhoo, I was in a cab in Paris, ceptin they call them Taxi's when I could have sworn that I saw our dear captain!!! By the time I had instructed the driver in French to, 'Turna rounda' the lovely lady had left and so had her escort. I hope you are well mon capitan, I send you greetings from Sant Julià de Lòria. oxo.
So I guess I'll head on over to Ohio and if I meet anyone I know I can be assured of a soft landing!
I am sorry; that was not my intention and indeed not intended as such. For indeed if such was my intended intention the deed intended was not.
SPRING BREAK!!!!! Did I mention that already...SPRING BREAK!!!
When the evening gently closes in,
and you shut your weary eyes
I'll not be there as I have never been
with just one more summarize.
For I'll not be there when you are told.
When you were born; you are never too old!
NOW FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TELL ME WHAT I MISSED!
*A tout à l'heure.
*The article 'la' drops the letter 'e' before a word that begins with a non-aspirated vowel.
Hands up if you knew that!
Hey Roberta; is that a New York finger your waving there?...........................Oh my!
eBay, if you are looking for a Green Card; two camels and a goat may sweeten the deal.
Sorry you are unwell Tulip, reminds me of the time I got my Wiener (Würstchen) caught in a sausage machine.
Dutchy, you fight not alone; quis separabit?
Perhaps the rest of the crew would like to join me in the traditional ballad...
Alabama...
When the Alabama's keel was laid,
Roll, Alabama, Roll!
They laid her keel at Birkenhead,
Oh, roll, Alabama, roll!
Oh, she was built in Birkenhead,
Roll, Alabama, Roll!
Built in the yard of Jonathan Laird,
Oh, roll, Alabama, roll!
Away down the Mersey she rolled one day,
Roll, Alabama, Roll!
And across the "Western" she ploughed her way.
Oh, roll, Alabama, roll!
My goodness Tryagain you've done again, a masterpiece of trivial trite, I know it was St Patricks day just recently, but awarding the motto "Quis separabit" (who will seperate us) to an Aussie/Dutchman seems a bit unrealistic.

@Tryagain,
She is a good ship she is. I love that song Try. But it is about the CSS Alabama...not the USS. But of course I think they are both lovely.
Wow...for some strange reason you made sense to me this morning.
Bless your day dear man. Love it when you come to visit. ((Try))
Dear Dutchy - rest well.
Crew - hugs to you all. Have a great day (or night)
