@Izzie,
Hey Guys!

TaiChi - Typos and brain flubs...welcome to my world!

I am thrilled to hear Ind is well and that baby boy is here! SO HAPPY! Praying that his lungs will mature and that the surgery will be succussful...or that he won't need it at all...but be healthy and and gain weight quickly and she can take that sweet little man home!

Brooke...you sound crazy busy girl! Glad to hear your Dad is doing so well. Take care of yourself.

I have pics...It was fun...I have no closeups of J except as the Grim Reaper...not sure how that happened...he is the catcher though.

Hugs to all...

@Stormwatch,
Yes Stormy.... I'm walking, a little tentatively, but pretty good - very easy compared to all the other surgeries, thanku. Very easy.

Hope you had a lovely Halloween and N-BigBoy still went trick or treating. Hope daughter is doing real good too.

hey, can you do something about my weather hun....or at least watch my storm..... it stopped raining long enough for a photo.... now it's CATS AND DAWGS.... CHUCKING THEMSELVES OUT THE SKY.... torrents again.

So good to see you, know you are incredibly busy Stormy and you do a fine fine job. Just so lovely to see you any time you get a chance. We think of you and miss you.

Hope Hubby is doing good too and school is settled.

Ah... just super to see ya. We're putting in a lot of good thoughts, whatever anyones beliefs or non beliefs, if you can send some posivibes Vegemites way, that would be good. She had her little boy at 31 weeks, he needs a littl strength and has got a long road in front of him. I seriously believe it makes a difference to Vegemite and anyone who knows that folk are thinking of them in times of trouble as well as happiness. If you could ommmmmm or..... just think positive, she'd appreciate it. She's a real sweet girl.

(I know, I'm a little kooky, I do believe it makes a difference.)

((((((Stormy)))))) take special care and love to you and yours, and of course Jazzie. xxxxx

@Izzie,
Glad you are on the mend Izzie. You always seem so upbeat...good attitude goes a long way.

All is ok here. Work gets me down often, but at least I have a job and these days that's a lot! N. didn't go trick or treating this year...his first Sad He feels he is too old to dress up. He was invited to a halloween party, but didn't even want to dress up for that. 14 is such an awkward age...in time he will be more comfortable with more adult Halloween participation... Daughter H. is lovin' school...she had no probs with the festivities...just ohhh which party to attend!!!!

I was reading back about Vegemite and her baby. I'm definately sending all positive thoughts, prayers and vibes her way. That's such a scary ordeal to go through....wishing her and that little baby boy all kinds of good!

I'm sending good weather vibes your way too. Don't know how much good it will do...it didnt' work here we had the rainiest summer and fall that I can remember!!

I'll have to catch up with Alex...if you see him tell him I'm looking for him too!! He will feel stalked!! LOL

Take care Izzie

@Stormwatch,
Morning Crew

Thanku - You too Stormy - keep yer chin up about work - tho, do understand how hard it is... my teachers struggle with everything they have to do and not enough hours - burn out happens all too soon - I can see my HT burning out already. No sooner do they put one thing in place, and the whole system changes again. SpEd is the toughest - you do a good job Stormy... chin up gal.

S-boy didn't dress up for Halloween either (we don't celebrate Halloween here like the US do), it was a little girlies teenage birthday party he went to - mind you, S-boy does like to "perform" - so, given the right setting, I reckon he'd dress up in anything and steal the show. x

hey y'all - well, Monday afternoon here and... ouch... shoulder and neck pain, usual pain, but still a pain - I need it "kneaded"! Shocked ohhhhhhh, so need it kneaded.

Anyhoo, bit cold and damp outside and can feel it cooling down. Waiting on hearing about my car - and... as none of us have a car now (still the most bizarre thing ever!) - not sure what we're all going to do! I'm still gobsmacked that happened. Gonna send the little fella for a walk down to the local shop to get some milk...... if I have milk for my tea, well, all will be well in my world Wink

Back in a bit....

@Izzie,
Hey Crew

Just popped on board to find out about our Vegemite - CONGRATULATIONS Verby and just know that you are in our prayers - A little boy - How blessed! - I am sure he will be a strong fighter and we are all with you.

Sis - Thank you for such a wonderful time with you - despite the KGK days! - Still cannot believe how stupid some men are! - Have you had any news from the garage yet about your car? - Please let me know the state of play.

Mis/Dutchy - thank you for the hugs - much appreciated and reciprocated of course - Halloween sounded wonderful Mid - Jgirl went to a party on Sat night dressed as a dead person ( nice!) and had fake blood everywhere - she then proceeded to drink too much vodka and had the spinny room sensation - wasn't sick tho! ( thank goodness) and had the worst hangover yesterday - they all have to learn the hard way - Bless.

Brooke - So lovely to see you on board - know the feeling about all work and no play - they are talking about relocating me to Vienna to run Eastern Europe and the Middle East - as a blonde woman - How many camels am I worth!!! - How ridiculous!
Anyway - working from home - have the builder in next door ( a house I bought in madness and now spending a fortune renovating) - He has just tiled the bathroom and is going to start on installing the new kitchen tomorrow, so I have got decorating to do tonight - stripping wallpaper and paintinc! 0 Yee hah!!
Tulip - lovely to see you at the weekend - hope things have improved on the home front - just pathetic people that need to get a life - and very jealous! - You can rise above it - And by the way - you look amazing - Iz said you had been crying - and you still look that good! - Wow! - I look like a panda without the tears!

Dutchy - send some sunshine over as it is pretty chilly and rainy over here right now.
Bazza - Need to get in touch re meeting up at some point, especially when Iz comes up - How is Small?

Anyway guys - must go work some more
Big hugs
FQ xx

BRUHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHHAHHAA.... so Sis, having picked myself up off the floor after laughing so hard Wink I have good news to report...

my car is ....

well, it's been drained and ...

G has gone to pick it up Very Happy - so will let you know laterz - DO NOT WORRY - it's all gonna be ticketyboo, I know it. He's now got to use my car coz... he doesn't have a van still!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ahem) It's still on the side of the road until his mate can go tow it. Poor 'ole Molly Merc is kaput too - she won't start (she's sulking because he hasn't driven her for a while... well, quite right too - us "she's" cannot just be left to sit and get all cold for weeks on end!) He'll learn. One day. So, anyhoo - I won't see my car tonite but hopefully it will be fine - of course it will, I'm sure it will. It's my beautiful car Very Happy

Brother's car is also still null and void, he got it AA'd to the local garage - he does love his car, obsessively so, Alfa Romeo.... oh dear - and he's still really spitting mad. (Rolling Eyes..... angry doesn't achieve anything... there.is.no.point being angry about this, is there, I mean, it's done... older brother, can't tell him that, he doesn't listen to me anyhoo - nem'mind). He'll simmer down soon.

Talking of towing..... looks like the little fella may have broken his pinky toe at the party on Saturday nite. It's gone a deep shade of purple/black/blue and the bruising has spread up his foot. Quite the pair we are - my right, his left. Hmmmmmmmm.... he's got rugby tomorrow - nah, don't think he's gonna be able to do that - bless him - he did have a wicked good time tho, despite the injury. (he's talking on msn to his wee girlie-friend <"no, of course she's not my girlfriend Mom - doh"> - they are webcamming and giggling so much, lots of hand gestures, he talks out loud to her as he types and doesn't realise he's talking (gosh, he is so my child!!!!), the occasional blush - verra verra sweet, really. <melts>

Muster stations for the conservatory still (RAIN.STOP.PLEASE) and I lit the logburner - <pass the oxygen mask> smoke filled the entire house again - what is it with that, how do I do that? - I need to figure out how to stop the smoke coming out - get a bigger "draw"... It's only a tiny little log burner - but sheesh, it doesn't half produce some smoke when it's cold. The chimney sweep swept so I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong, but, obviously something. However, doors and windows opened and that's clearing and the fire is looking rather lovely now. Very Happy <got some dry logs in the garage... being big and brave Rolling Eyes> Firelighters, may need to just use firelighters and not wrapped up paper. Whoda thought I was a "Brownie"... I was, a Gnome.

So, as you can see, housebound is making me slightly more off the wall than usual (is that possible? oh yes) - need to get out... ahhhhhhhh..... need to get out and about so badly.

'Scuse me wittering, just needing to talk. Very Happy

@Izzie,
Hey Guys,

Oh FQ - there are so many things I need to paint in the house...and I would like to get it done before the holidays...but I am not sure that will happen. I think I just have to not think about it and DO IT. I hope it goes quickly and smoothly for you.

Hey there Iz...I am sorry you are cooped up. I am such a homebody. I know that sounds crazy. But we are such go, go, goers that I absolutely love it when I have a week I don't have to go anywhere. Fall ball is over and I have been almost gleeful today that I do not have to worry about being at practice or games until Spring. I love baseball...I am just ready for a break.

Poor S'boys toe. I hope it feels better soon. Oh - he is such a sweet boy. I can just see him typing and talking...too cute.

Thank you Stormy and all for the sweet words about the boys. He really is a good little catcher...There are 2 boys on that team that are tiny. Most of the other boys are at least a head taller than them...it is J and another little boy. If S played it would have been 3. But these two little tiny mites are such great little players. They are utility players and play pretty much any position well. J is best at catcher and the other little boy is a great pitcher. S is an amazing fielder. He can catch anything and get that ball to whatever base he needs to quickly. So...thankfully - being short does not seem to hold them back. Are you all taking it easy this fall or do you do football? I do not look forward to that stage. I know it is hard. And as far as work is concerned...what you do is such a great thing. Just remember all the good that will come of it...and good WILL come of it. All those seeds you are planting in those little minds...the results may not be seen by you...but you can be assured that they will grow and are so much better because of you and your hard work. Do keep your chin up. ((Stormy))

Tulip, I know you have a lot on your plate girl. Thoughts and prayers...really - they are with you.

Dear Dutchy, How are you today? Sounds like fine weather down under. We haven't really even gotten into our cold weather and I am already jealous of the warm days and cold beers you are enjoying. Very Happy Hugs to you.

I have this notebook...I write things in it...I call it my "brain". Because if I did not have it, I would not know what to do next. So - in my "brain" are all the things I have said I would do, need to do, go, grocery list, school activities- whatever. I have lost my "brain" before and have been absolutely lost until I found it again.

There is a back section that I write in every night before I go to bed that has answers to things I have asked for or prayed for, or needed that got answered. It is my list that I am thankful for. I have been very happy to write about Brooke's Dad, and Mamaverb, Izzie's surgery and am looking forward to writing about Verbaby in there soon...I have many that are as of yet unanswered and some that are just ongoing requests for comfort or well being ...but I have high hopes that I will be putting those that have yet to be answered in there soon enough as well.

I need you all to know that you aren't just cyberspace non-entities that I don't think about once I am off-line...it might have started out that way...but I am always amazed at how attached I am to you folkses. Wink

I know many of you feel the same way. It is obvious.

I am coughing my head off...going to get some tea...

hugs to all,
mis

@Izzie,
Morning crew, good to read all the news, lots of things happening in your world. Big day downunder, Melbourne Cup Day, the only day of the year when the whole nation comes to a standstall at 2.10pm to watch a horse race. We must be the only country in the world to have a Public Holiday for a horse race, can you you believe it? My pick to win it is 'Alcopop', I'll have $10 on it, will let you know tomorrow if the drinks are on me. Laughing

yep Dixie... 'tis like that, isn't it. I kinda get attached to some folks I don't even know too, ya know, when I don't see them around I start thinking... "oooh, are they OK", ya know... strange, I was just thinking that about someone earlier on.

Couple weeks ago I read about how some folk (people I haven't ever really spoken to) think that saying "how are you" or "take care" etc are just meaningless words, like, you're not really interested in hearing the reply... but, I don't think that's right, not around 'here' anyways. I do mean it, everytime, but... nem'mind. I do 'get it' tho - I get that feeling a lot when someone in real life asks me "how are you" - coz I know actually they really don't want to know about all my stuff - so I stopped speaking here, in real life, a LONG time ago - about 3 years ago actually. This is pretty much my only voice now and those that do care, are here with me.

So yeah, I think about everyone A2Khere, daily, ha, most of the day actually ... <shakes head> (I do need to get out more - ha Wink ). Will be busy when I get back to work, it's been kinda nice procrastinating on A2K for the last couple weeks and I've been reading heaps on here and getting to know about folk just from reading their posts, but I am going stir crazy at home - the "not driving" thing is doing my head in - even when I'm not working, I still love just to get in the car and drive onto the moors. (don't need to see or talk to anyone for the most part, just need to drive and be out in the open, preferably with my camera in hand).

(k... witter over again, I am talking in my head all day right now) Rolling Eyes ack.

So, anyhooo...

sorry you are coughing Mis - did the shot make any difference with the bronchitus...? Hoping it will clear up soon. I believe our Beth is having allergy issues at the moment too. So... wishing that you both will feel better quicksoon. How about G-baby - did you get another puffer for him? Love your brain book - I am way too disorganised to do that. Your sentiment, I know, is completely and totally genuine, as are your faith and your beliefs.

I had that, a long time ago. I may still do. I just don't know anymore. I believe in hope.

I'm so glad you have that comfort Mis. Really. Love you Mis. x

Keeping ommmmmmmmmmmming for our MaMaVerby - will give her another call tomorrow (once I sort my skype out). Ever hopeful for VerbyBaby.

BEAgle... gosh, you are a busy boy right now..... may Lady Luck be with you.... Alcopop... that was apt a? Love it. Razz Sending you a little luck 'o the Irish too.... (ok ok ok ok ok ... I'm English, but I can still send some Irish Luck Down Under). Wink <mines a G&T please>

Gosh, gotta go take my zzzzzzz stuff - need to be up at 6.30am with the little fella - he's back to school tomorrow.

Off to make a cuppa, will make you another tea Mis...

x

Hi Izzie and FlavourQueen, Dutchy just arrived home with his tail between his legs, my horse Alcopop was unplaced. Sad However over the whole day I finished well in front.

Never mind, there is always next year to back that elusive Cup winner. In the mean time I'm heading to my bar and will pour you girls an Opal Nera Black Sambuca, you deserve that after all your hard work FQ and Izzie for worrying over your car.

I'll settle for a Double Rum and Cola, should go down well, as I feel I've earned it. Cheers Smile

@FlavourQueen,
Hey FQ - I love the fact that you live in a 400 year old home. How awesome is that...do you know the history of the people who lived there before you? Is it your family's home (from past generations)? It sounds like a booger to re-decorate. I am wishing you the best in your efforts and using your gumption to encourage myself !

Long day...and I have to work tomorrow as well...we will have two teachers gone - so I am filling in. It will be fine. It is before Christmas...every little extra bit is a blessing. So I'll not complain. Not right now anyway Wink

How is everyone today?

Dutchy - glad you came out ahead...sounds like you had a good day.

Izzie, how are you dear girl? The shot worked. I am feeling better. Manic mode right now. I am sure before long I will hit the skids again...it's how I roll! Wink
