So, I still haven’t gotten round to posting pics which I really will try and do tonite. Rock is at work at the moment and I’m keeping little fella amused " well, kinda, he’s on a video game which I’m monitoring at the mo. Rock cooked a Pork roast earlier with the trimmings " it was excellent " wish I could cook so well. Thanku so much.

Listening to the cicadas and crickets outside " last nite we got a fire going and managed to get S-boy outside (he’s very scared of bugs) " and the nite before we watched the meteorites " saw about 20 shooting stars. It was fab.

Really really gonna try and post some pics.

Okay - just so you all will know I did not piddle my WHOLE day away. I did manage to get G-baby's room shoveled out. AND I worked out, a new routine with free weights and I am afraid that I have a sore behind this morning. Dang - squats are brutal.

I am trying to do what I didn't do yesterday today. I seem to curse myself when I announce it all though. Or announce it at tall...

Izzie - yeah those bugs are everywhere...and can be quite large. It sounds like y'all are having a great time. So glad. I really would like to get S'boy and my fellers together. Ok my nails are dry today...no excuses I have to get things done around here. Summer is coming to an end and I'm running out of time.

We start back to school Aug 26th, which is way too soon. I remember as a kid not starting back till after Labor Day. This year it feels very soon as we didn't get out of school till June 30th because of all the days off from the huge ice storm.

Izzie, sounds like you are having a blast...keep enjoying!!

Oh Stormy - it is the saddest, heaviest feeling - I hate the end of summer. And it seems that school just seems to punctuate it. I know it has to be hard for you - because you get to go back to teaching - which is a wonderful thing...but I know it is hard. I hope you get everything done that you need to.

I am going to try. I seem to be having another "white noise" day - my focus is off - again. I need to start taking that Focus Factor or something!

We go back on the 1st... or 2nd.... not sure which - my hours are changed as the new gal is starting - so I do longer hours Tues, Wed, Thurs giving me a long weekend each week - which is good - shall be going up to see my FQsis and hopefully meet up with Bazza and Small and the London crew around. Gonna have to kerb my expenses a bit after this trip - so may need to start making some more cards and get them out to the shops. We'll seee.

Yeah...we lost a bird today. It was sad. It made for a pretty icky afternoon. But - and I forgot to tell y'all this but it's my and the Prof's anniversary. So we went out to eat and to a movie. We had the funniest waiter. Of course....I am a light weight when it comes to drinking so my two glasses had me laughing at pretty much anything. But I sobered up pretty quickly. We went to see Perfect Getaway...ew...creepy. Not really a good anniversary movie. I told the Prof that he would have made out better had he chosen something a little more warm and fuzzy. Heh heh..

You make me smile so much Mis, you really do- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Dixies!

Stormy - well, it has been stormy here - another fabulous storm - today I smiled so big at 2 kids in the street - it had been raining and raining and raining and the ditch was all filled with water - well, flooded actually - HUGE rain, huge lightening..... soooooo... anyhooo.... I went outside and heard these kids really really laughing. They were playing in the water - big kids but like 5 year olds - I had to take the pictures (which of course didn't work coz I couldn't get the settings on my camera in the light sorted ) but, I got talking to the kids and they were just so lovely.

Their eyes were so bright and they had big laughs - when they heard my accent they were all questions and telling me about their family in St.Louis and Chi-town - I just wanted to hug them - then - they asked if we would like to go to church with them in the morning. Bless them. I said we were heading out early but thanked them very much. Rock says their father is the minister here.





















I can't tell you how lovely these kids were - just so happy playing in the rain. They asked if S-boy would like to come and play with them - but he didn't coz of the bugs... talking of which... I saw what I thought was a humming bird... it wasn't.... even I went OMGAWD and beat a hasty retreat. Nasty nasty looking proboscis - not often I would say that about a bug... but ACK.
