Houston had a problem and cancelled us last minute. Been a bit upsetting all around. Hey ho - got a Wolfie Woman who said to head to over to Austin - silver linings - that's where we shall be driving tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting SheWolf and her Bean Cub.

Morning crew,looks like your all tucked up in your hammocks but I've just gotta tell you about todays dawn in London.I knock off work at 6am and at around 5am,I stuck my head out of the factory shutters to see what the weather was like and my jaw hit the floor.The sky was full of little fluffy clouds.To the left they were white/gray,to the right they were red/orange and smack bang in the middle was a big ol' rainbow.Then to make things even better,a British Airways "red-eye",on finals into Heathrow,flew right through the middle.Absolutely stunning!

Mamaverbs,I'm sure that,if you ask Ebby nicely,he will donate at least 30 minutes of his computer time so you can chat with the Captain.Maybe he could do the washing up!

Hi Izzie and Barry. Have been unable to get on line earlier due to a massive power black out. Just been sitting around twiddling my thumbs.

Barry, will leave early this Saturday, and return Sunday week, a good 8 days with the three grand kids is more than enough, believe you me.

Iz - so sorry to hear that they bailed out on you last minute - nothing surprises me there though and as I said - just rise above it - you are worth more than all of that. - Anyway - I am sure you will have a great time in Austin and and it will more than make up for it.
Bazza - the weather is starting to improve and I can imagine that dawn was beautiful this morning - I must admit - I overslep as some old friends came over from Geneva last night who we haven't seen for years and their 2 daughters are going to come back to school in England with my 2 daughters so there was a reunion and botlles of wine and very late night - so in the office and keeping a low profile!!
My J girl has a job interview this afternoon to work in a sandwich shop for the rest of the school vacation - bless her - she is so nervous and I hope she gets it so she can earn herself a bit more extra money and start realising the value of it!
Off to a wedding reception on saturday at the RAF base where my hubby is stationed so looking forward to that - nearly 6 years to the day when he and I got married in the same place and we had the best wedding ever! - Happy memories.
Well, enough yabbering - hope this finds you all well - and Verby - I am fully recovered - although one of my colleagues who is pregnant has just recovered from Swine flu and it has been very worrying for her - but all is said to be OK.

ohhhhhhhhhh.... on a bit of a mission today - off to Austin and packing up some bits and pieces - sheeeeeesh - we seem to have got a lot for one night - umpteen adaptors for this that and the other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

will check in when we get there - gonna be seeing a Wolf Woman and staying at..... dunno yet, but she's sorted it - bless her heart .... well, can't come all this way and not get to meet up with the SheW for a chinwag a?

Still really have no idea where we're going - Sat Nav will hopefully get us there. Very excited - 'tis a hot one today so gonna crank up the AC, crank up the music and.......................... off we go... <unplugs laptop, grabs suitcase off bed and heads for the door>

FQ...Sounds like the reunion was exciting, I love catching up with old friends, it really takes you back. Hope you have a lovely time on Saturday, a few memories will be flooding back there too by the sounds of it. So glad your better now, by the way your poor friend must have been awefull for her. Austin has started.

Dagnabbit - those roaches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we're safely ensconced bug free at the hotel - got the AC going full blast - CAN IT GET ANY HOTTER.... yes, it can......... there is no cold water in the room at all - HA. So we've been covered with soaking towels and standing in front of the AC.

Had a wonderful time with the wolf family - if you all could have heard S-boy singing a line of song and Bean being his echo - haunted Grandmas house and "we don't like no bugs" ... "they make freak me"! Bless her heart. SheWBean is an angel.

KIND KIND folk - just love SheW - she is ..... vibrant, funny, witty... and the most beautiful person - we hugged big, we've laughed, walked into their home and made ourselves at home - comfort zone - YES. So easy. we wittered away non-stop about everything and all. Strange - you can meet someone you talk to online - and yet.... it just all falls into place - spur of the moment - just..... a blessing.

Kayaking in the morning - OH MY WORD! Please don't let it be 110 degrees - that's what we hit on the way down... 110 - can you believe that? 110 - how can it be that hot. S-boy and I were incredulous. Long journey - well, for us it was long - will be heading back up to Dallas tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait for the morning now - buzzing so doubt I will sleep much. It's just been.... lovely.

SheW - if you read this... YOU ARE BRILLIANT. I love how I know how my camera works now - ha - laughing - such a div! Thanku so much for this evening - loved being with your family and for your welcome. S-boy is still recovering from "girl kisses"!!!!!!!!!!

My - it's been a busy day and nearly 1am and .....exhausted. Very worth the trip - and..... silver lining was more like platinum - very warm welcome and friendship is priceless.

Still can't believe we drove through Downtown Dallas (oh, no I won't mention being on the wrong highway - briefly - and then to drive into Austin -the traffic was huge so Mrs GPS sent us all over - but we found their lovely home and a She on the door with the biggest hug ever.

ooooooooooooooooh... it's been great.
