My daughter got first in high jump at school sport day 1 metre 35, am so chufted for her, but she got a bit sun burnt. F boy had a good school report, every teacher said he was lovely, quiet and needs to talk more! How funny is that as normally teachers are always complaining about kids talking too much!

If I remember the conversion right, thats about 6 feet.
Good for her, I tried the high jump when I was in school and could never clear more then about 5 feet.

Sorry about the sunburn though, thats gonna hurt.

And your right, it is strange when a teacher says a student should talk more, they usually want the exact opposite.

MamaVerby don't worry about the pup...just clean it well. That baby doesn't even know it happened. Just eat well and rest. You are making a baby in that tummy----takes a lot out of you. Hopefully you won't lose your brain cells like I did (K-I-D-D-I-N-G) sort of.

My mom always told me that my problem was that once I learned to talk, I never stopped.
My teachers always complained that I talked to much, but I never said anything.
I never did figure out what that meant (at least not till my nephew turned 10 and he was the same way).

canada was turning to metric when i was in the later elementary grades, i 'm pretty fluent in both systems

yep am trying the vinegar thing but Sgirl not too happy about the smell of vinegar lol

I know it smells, but it will draw the heat out of the burn, and it will make her skin feel better.
Its a trick I used when I had people come to my sick bay complaining about sunburn.

Morning crew wherever you are, Saturday morning downunder and a big day ahead. The great football derby between my city and Sydney is on and Dutchy will be heading there thanks to the generosity of a friend who supplied a seat in a corporate box, how lucky can one be. It will be just as noisy if not more than that rock concert in Hyde Park where our Captain, F/Q, Bazza and friend are heading, as the rivalry between the two cities is something to be believed.
