a MOON FLOWER! How neat is that. Can't wait to see it. Rock - you would be so proud of me - I worked so hard in my back yard today. I cleaned the sophits and the screens and the windows. I beat rugs and cleaned ceiling fans...I washed dogs - while I was washing the sophits actually - they wouldn't leave me alone so I hosed them down then soaped them up. They spent the rest of the afternoon under the trampoline looking at me out the side of their eyes...when I put the hose away - they grinned at me. No flowers yet - but soon.

DIDGE! Hey there you! Rest well...look forward to your pics. Can't wait to hear about it all.

I'm going to go take an advil PM and chase it with a glass of wine - My body is not used to that kind of labor...it is protesting.

Don't worry girly - it was just an over the counter thing to help with tight muscles and to make me sleep - very mild. I didn't have the glass of wine either. But I am sorry to hear you still cannot eat because of the cold. Take care sweet girl.

I am sore this morning...but I will work that out eventually I am sure. I am going to meet my new employer today. Well starting in September. She is so sweet over the phone. I am so looking forward to getting to meet her.

Hey Mis, vbv and Iz - hey girlies - sat at my desk in the office at work and thinking of you guys - I often get the chance to log on and read how you are all doing, but often cannot reply as I am on my Blackberry and it is a nightmare.
Mis - so glad you had such a fun vacation - you are always so active with those little pickles.
Verb - hope the sickness improves - I assure you that it is all worth it in the end and it won't be long before you know the joys of motherhood with all the new dimension it brings to your life.
Sis - cannot wait for you to come up this weekend - printed off my Hyde park ticket and so excited - I will call you tonight when I get home
K has gone to Utah on his exped, so 2 weeks of peace and quiet - home alone!!

I hate to ruin everybodies good mood, but we found out when the funeral for the 2 that died Saturday morning will be.
The visitation will be tomorrow from 1 to 8 PM, and the funeral will be at 1 on Thursday.

Afterwards, on thursday night, there will be a prayer service at the home.
The family is requesting that all of the firefighters be at the prayer service.
I will be going to Whitsell Funeral Home for the visitation, as will most of the dept.

Now for some good news.
The little boy that we pulled out alive is expected to make it, but it will be a long road for him, due to his burns.

great trip to the island, lots of deer (or possibly the same deer) near the cottage

but first these two guys came over on the ferry with us, lots of four legged passengers but these two guys were the most personable



within the first hour i'd spotted this deer in the woods beside the lane into the cottage



saw this fellow on the road to town the next morning

a ruffled wood grouse, very ruffled indeed, she was worried about her chicks (they were too fast to get a picture of)

F/Q hope the concert will be a blast this weekend and you three will have the best of times, wishing you good weather and lots of fun.

mismi your vacation must have done you the world of good, you sound so happy and full of energy, trust the boys are behaving themselves and the Prof spoils you a little. Good luck with your job interview.

Yep BEAgle - doing a lot which is good, for me ........ but struggling a little with constant go. So tired and sore. Work tomorrow and loft insulation in the afternoon and getting car to garage. Not enough hours. Have to sort spare room as J&J are moving in for the weekend - at the moment it's not possible to get in FQ's room - so need to clear it out. Not working Thursday - so, hopefully then, if I'm a little fitter.

Went back to G’s and daughter was there " but she locked herself in the bathroom when I arrived - hey ho ... for about and hour... hour and half " by which time I’d felt pretty uncomfortable at being there so decided to mosey on home.

That was OK - I experienced a most beautiful sunset with not a soul around me " simply perfect with a big huge hot air balloon flying by which I so wished I was in. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah....





Very peaceful sitting in the country with my camera in hand and not a sound except a few passing pheasants.



OK... gonna make a hot chocolate " then bed. Will make you and Mis tea BEAgle and anyone else for a brew.

Oh Izzie! I love the chameleons...the slimy froggy -well - I don't mind looking at him....but don't think I want to touch. How cool!

I bought the Prof. a hammock for Father's Day. It is now on my clean back porch and I can't keep the 3 little monkey's off of it! They are cracking me up.

We have a hot air balloon that passes over the lake near our house every so often...I should get a pic. If I ever have my camera handy when it comes I will.

I think someone should(or will have to) offer Try more than a smooch to get him to come around....

ah mis... wee frogs are the size of a finger nail right now... too cute - but they grow up to be big huge-uns. R-boy had one. Big Kev and we had 2 large chamaeleons called Carley and Charlie. Fascinating animals.

Yep, heading north again tomorrow. Computer cooperated long enough today for me to post some pictures to give you an idea what we've been up to.

MM it's an essential service you and your fellow firefighters perform. I'm glad there was some good news after that terrible tragedy.

MamaVerby, sorry to hear about the nausea but it will pass eventually. Have you tried ginger? My grandma used to keep a lemon wedge on the window sill next to her bed and took a big bite before she even tried to get up in the morning. I had other acidic cravings -- unsweetened pineapple and grapefruit juice. Luckily the downside of pregnancy will fade from memory once the baby arrives. (Good thing else nobody would ever have more than one!)
