Baseball season for the boys starts today. Ugh. Gotta take them to the park at 8:30. ugh. I like baseball, right?

Happy Valentines DAy.

Stacy has to work today, but I set up a surprise for her at work (with some help from one of her friends).
Because of where she works, I cant go to her desk.
I had a friend of hers meet me at her work this morning and she is setting up Stacy's desk for me.
There will be a BIIIIG stuffed bear, a big balloon that sings when you tap it, and a rose.
The rose is real, but it is dipped in 24 carat gold.
There is also a card.
I also put a bear and a card in her car, she found that when she got in it to go to work.
The card is also a hand written gift certificate, good for dinner for 2 at the restaraunt of her choice, on the night of her choice.

Jackie told me she would try and get a pic of Stacy's desk, along with a pic of Stacy when she see's it.
If she does, I will post it.

Other then that, there is nothing going on here.
We are still trying to recover from the ice storm.
Laura and Matt (Stacy's daughter and son in law) just got their power back about 7 hours ago.
I am still trying to clean up all the branches and tree limbs in the yard, I'm having to use a chain saw to get them all cut into pieces small enough to haul off in my pickup truck.

So for now, I am going to drink my coffee and wake up. Talk to all of you later.

mismi, I am soooo jealous that you start baseball so early. We still have two feet of snow on the ground Our sign ups are this week. I can't wait for baseball to start. I love it. I'm so done with footall and hockey.

The forecast here is for warmer days next week as well. We should be in the 30s every day

same here, but we did wake up to a little snow, about an inch or so

yeah, here too... just enough to entice the snow plow drivers to drop a couple inches of salt on the roadways and scrape tiny piles of snow along the sides of the roads. Oh, to get an uninterrupted night's sleep!!!!

Hey Stormy! It is crazy - we JUST got back and will go back again at 1:00...it was fun. It's always the getting ready and leaving part that is the hardest. Once you're there it's great. You all go a little longer than we do I think. It was cold and wet but of course we aren't snowy down here - ever. I would have loved to see some snow!

Set made a nice VDay breakfast today - of course it had my favourite ingredients - onions and mushrooms! he knows he can't go wrong with the basics. Truly a pb and j sandwich would have made me happy too - just nice to be thought of

brendalee's on her way over - somehow we always end up spending at least part of VDay together - getting to be kind of funny - two years in a row we bought concert tickets without realizing they were for VDay. Oops.
