"YABBER-LINER" - ALL ABOARD

Hello all you dear folkses....

I can't even begin to tell you what an exhausting weekend it was. We left Thursday got to the hotel at 1:00 in the morning. Got up at 5:00 - well...that is what time the wake-up call was anyway...and went to breakfast. As we were getting in the car to leave (the weather was BAD) it got worse...the wind started going sideways - I mean the rain did...limbs started cracking so we hauled our behinds back into the hotel and proceeded to get our room back...the lights went out and we were delayed - for about 3 hours. Finally we got back on the road and then I took a wrong turn - we got there 8 hours later and were late for the rehearsal dinner.

And Stormy - you are going to die...but we missed the game because of it. My husband was heartbroken. But...it was fun anyway - and I thought he handled it rather well. It was a great party - these gorgeous white tents in the backyard - strung lights and a fishing boat FULL of beer for the adults and sodas for the kids - shrimp, fish...amazing food. We got to bed and got up and from the time we woke up to the time we left to come home last night at 9:00pm we were running. The wedding was beautiful, the reception was AMAZING. It was all so amazingly beautiful. I will try to post pics soon. But we really had a great time. Then...on the road all day today and now we are pooped. I am about to go fix sandwiches for us all then getting the kids in bed -

My cousin just hugged my neck and told us how happy and thankful he was we came and he and all his NFL buddies behaved amazingly well! And...guess what we found out....my other cousin is getting married in May. We get to do it all again in two months! Lauging - really is quite funny! Honey and I already decided we would fly and let the kids stay here with my FIL. Too much too soon...really.

Good to be home...see you all tomorrow.

P.S. That storm we encountered in Tallahassee ended up being a tornado - right down the street from the hotel...we heard two died in it and some were injured. We were fortunate that we were not on the road in that mess that is FOR SURE! :wink:

Am still on watch...it's blowing up a storm here too - not as bad as a tornado by any means - just loud and windy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure where the Babies Blue and Pink are. Think they work weekends out on the ranch - goatherding is a busy job these days -

Hey Izzieliz - luved the lonely goatherd! Been out working in the garden and have come back inside to melt. Chardy in hand - fish and salad for late lunch for the crew - then just chill out. The geese have posted a sentry at the courtyard gate so will have to go feed them - thank heavens they can't get into the courtyard - messy little twerps! OMG do we need rain. If we don't get some serious rain soon my dam/lake (at the moment is a puddle) will dry up completely. I had quite a few tortoise(s) in there but they are all heading overland to find a bigger pond. Thank you for compliments on grandbabies - would you believe my daughter and my daughter-in-law both have the same name - Briony. We call one Bre and one Bri just to save confusion. Hopping the tootsies are not too bad.

The toots are ready to start tapping a bit - they need a bit of activity - like globetrotting around the world as I do with my fingers these days. Soon though....ha ... soon these feet will go a walkin' again. Really - all is fine there thanku.

Your ranch sounds great - you must send us more pics please - do you usually have fish in the lake, what kinda wildlife do you get around you? Would love to know what your "ranch" is like.

It must be lovely having the wee grandbabies come visit. Do your kids live close?

Wish I could send you some rain - got plenty here and would be nice to have a little sun for the week - rain is forecast for most of next week.

Hey Izzieliz - well - we have the main house and then a granny flat for mum and dad and when my son was about 16- 17 and started bringing all his mates home - aaahhhhh - built him a sleep out about 100 mtrs away from the house so couldn't hear any noise. It was just a big room with toilet and vanity - so now my daughter and her husband and Finn are adding three bedrooms on to that and a kitchen and are going to stay for a few years here. (Told you you can't get rid of daughters)!!!! They stay close to home (and mom). So we are now four generations on one property. The wildlife we have here is - kangaroos, koalas, lots of bird life, wombats and echidnas. I will try to send you photos soon.

The crew are shouting for their lunch. I may get back to yabber when I have sated their appetites.

Go feed the crew hunni and we'll catch up soon. So nice to have all your family round you - that's a blessing.
