I am therefore writing this dispatch from the safety of the storm shelter; as I have no immediate desire to talk in a high pitched voice!

Oh bless my little workmen chappies out in the cold. It’s really miz out there " this morning was quite unbelievable " thick thick ice... even the dual carriageway had been closed from Bodmin because of ice... that NEVER happens... took me 45 mins to get to work and didn't even attempt the little roads I drive on - way tooooo dangerous " hairy scary " 11 accidents en route on the main roads! Nasty conditions.

Anyhooooo... the lads (young lads) are up on the scaffold and one of them is having terrible problems with his hands. So, he’s been in, soaking them in hot water and then, had to laugh " suggested he put some cream on " only cream I could find was “passionfruit” " ahhh " he’s just a youngun and can’t say enough thank yous. Hopefully his hands will feel a little better now " and he will smell sweet to " HA! Bless.

Speaking of hands... agony last nite " today, not so bad at all! Which is good. Got on splints and tho I wouldn’t say all is ticketyboo " no probs like I was having last nite. Happy days!

Hey Dev... yep, had school already... busy busy... done!

Ahhhhhhhh... the younguns have gone now - weather is darn right miserable and they were up on the scaffold so - not good for them. HA - chappie came in and we talked about "cocoa butter" cream - was really funny. They can't wear gloves coz it's fiddly stuff they are doing. Bless them - they were both cold and wet. Suggested they didn't come tomorrow if the weather was this manky.

Might go and try to have a rest now as the hammering has stopped.

Well, I went for a sleep tho the phone must've rung half a dozen times. Ack. It's chucking it down outside ..... but all is 'OK in the UK' and I'm on the deck for a wee while. Got a bit of the proverbial toothache going on for some reason, which I can't understand and really don't like one little bit - hoping it will sort itself out.

I'm afraid Thing 2 may have strep throat. I see a white spot on his throat, so it's off to the doc's tomorrow. Kids have half days this week & Thing 1 has exams. She's going to a dance on Sat.with a friend (girl) who's springing for a hairdo & make-up. She's excited.
