@verbivore,
Hi verbivore, isn't that nice of Eby, coming up with such a lovely surprise even if it is a day early. You just have to get out there and surprise him in your own way, that is what surprises are all about, something new and unexpected.

Big day for you folks in the US, I will have to get up at 4am to watch proceedings, wouldn't want to miss this historical occasion.

I know some of our crew are not feeling well at the moment to them I would like to say:
Hope you'll soon be feeling fine
The way you were before
Because things just won't be the same
Until you're well once more!

Big cheers from downunder.

@Dutchy,
Hi, Bathsheba, you are in my thoughts and yet again I wish I had a magic wand. I hope the love that's always here from the crew will make a little difference and help you through the rest of the chemo. Hold on!
Dev - I'm ok thx. Difficult times in some ways but coping.
VBV - so pleased about your gift and all it means. You must feel so happy.
Izzie, yes, those birds ,and your photos, are beautiful. Hoping you are ok.
Hugs all round, including one for King Dutchy the Great.T x

@bathsheba,
Oh Bathy - I am so sorry. Can't your Dr's give you something to help the migraines? I usually knock myself out with mine - if I can. I know it seems futile right now - but it's not. Hang in there....I understand that you are tired though. Wish I was closer, I would do something to come along side you if I could.
Quote:

Shy does not seem to be a problem with you! (Tryagain)

No, he is definitely not shy.

and no Try, I am not pregnant again. Though I've thought about it. Wink

Hello to you all - wishing you a wonderful day - or night!

hugs and kisses

@mismi,
Oh, Bathy, so sorry for your pain and suffering. I really hope better days are ahead for you.
How you doin', Mis-? Feelin' any better, I hope?
Dutch- I've really missed our times on the threads. It seems like me sleep habits (which seem to have a mind of their own!) have switched me to a somewhat almost near normal rhythm - go figure! But I'll be on as often as I can.
wv, good to hear from you. Know that I'm thinking about you and sending you love from here.
Love also to all those who are on shore leave or somehow awol. I'll be keepin' an eye out. Gotta scoot. Lot's to do today! Hugs!

@devriesj,
Hey Crew...

Well well well.... have just watched The Inauguration.

One can only hope for peace in our world methinks.

As a Brit... (I don’t do politics)..... but I like the guy, your President Us’ers. Good wishes to him as he steps forward.

NOW! Tonite was going to be belly dancing nite.... oh, ok... sorry.... I did my political bit... now onto dancing..... unfortunately " due to a dodgy hip and highly intolerant joints right now, I won’t be going to shake my bootie " which has pleased Tulip no end as she REALLY DID NOT WANT TO GO! HA! A couple of my friends are going (from work) so, hopefully " in the future " I will do the thingy with the metal thingies.

WytVi " ahhhh... the snow..... lasted AT LEAST 5 whole minutes! Ha! Actually, there had been a wee dusting over the moors this morning " but it soon disappeared. Very cold down here now. Hope all is good with you up there.

Monty " good to see you still here " stick around gal. I’m keeping out of things on the other threads right now (comfort zone) " the internet is a strange place " as much joy and comfort as it can bring (and it does to me) " it can also bring pain with those who may be heeby-jeebiers. Keeping the perspective on it, and what it means to you, is what’s important. I know how I feel about the folks here " but I also know that not all is at it seems at times. I have "not so good" feelings about certain posts.... but that's my thing. We all view things differently, especially in black and white with a million and two shades of grey. It’s about who you trust, ultimately, about trusting your judgement as being the most important. That's what you are doing. Stay true to you and keep your friends in your heart. Know we love you girl. x

How’s our Missy today? Pills gal " you taken them? How’re you feeling? Hugs.

DjjD " waves and helloooo to you!

STORMY....... we had a STORMY ABOARD! Hoping you’re doing good and your snow is gone and school is going well. Happy to see ya!

Dianne " hope Friday comes and goes quick for you. For all the chemo going in.... try and think of all the nasty cells being knocked on the head, kicked out and taken care of, then how your body will be able to recover without them. Not easy for you girl " but you are doing brilliantly. Big huge...gentle hugs to you. (nods.... that Bosun is pretty nice a?)

Vegemite.... would you believe it... we have the same phone (mine is pudgier tho, horribly battered and rarely used these days.) I hope you enjoy your anniversary girlie " you’ve worked hard to get where you are with Eby " enjoy your day.

((((BEAgle)))) " you awake and watching!!!?????

BlueBoy " ha.... shy... that made me chortle a tad. Shy Try, What A Nice Guy.... kinda has a ring about it a? oooooooooooh... feel a song coming on! Have a happy day BLUE - <gives the BlueBoy a very quiet, reserved, bashful hug> xox

k............ off to take the heavy duties........ <tries not to post anything too far out whilst flying....>

lalalaalalalalllallallaalllllaaa ........

@mismi,
Oh Mis.... would love to be having a cuppa tea with you right now...

we could both grab a couch... put on a chick flick, drink tea, you would have to have sugar free cookies.... and I would be eating................. ok... sugar free cookies too (if I must! ack). Now... go rest up and sit up - don't lie down if it hurts - and don't worry about anything other than getting yerself better.

very very very very very gentle hug coming across the pond! Love YOU! x

@Izzie,
Thank you (((((((Izzie)))))) and please know that I didn't want you getting involved. You've got more than enough on your own plate there girlfriend.
I know I've lost some friends through it all, but the things I said were things that I needed to say and my true friends will understand that in time and know that there was no easier way to tell them what I was feeling. I struggled to find the easiest way to tell them, but I lost them anyway.
No doubt that things will never be the same here on A2K for me again, but I do know that many people understand or at least still think I'm ok despite everything, so to those of you, I guess you're stuck with me. Poor things Laughing

Don't cry Montana! It's okay - I have come to terms with my inability to think things through thoroughly long ago! Wink Laughing Just need you all to know it too...so when I do it - you know that there are no underlying unkind thoughts or two fac-ed ness going on. I just play. then think. should prolly reverse that huh?

@mismi,
"Walk in the park..."

I love that expression... someone said that to me a long time ago.... have loved it ever since!

Ha.... did you ever do three-legged races..... with more than 3 legs...

wouldn't that be fun... get the crew together and do a mega three-legged..... and some... race!

Can you imagine how many mishaps we would have. Oh Mis...

The last three-legged race I did was... well, can't remember the date - but "B" - she's a close friend (lives 3 doors up from Tulip) had breast cancer... anyhoooooooo... I left the school we working at as a witch had parked her broomstick in my office - then there was a mass leave of staff - so we decided to have a party on the moors.... it was 30 degrees..... as in Celsius - in other words - the blooming hottest day of the year..... well, "B" was going through her chemo (by the way - she's a survivor - 2 surgeries then double mastectomy to be on the safe side.... and she's is absolutely coco now)..... so - it was a BALLGOWN AND TRAINERS party on the moors. We packed up everything at my house - we had Pimms, strawberries, savouries and sweets.... FAB FAB FAB... all of us in BallGowns (well a couple went as Pantomime Dames). We did stupid games - (oh, I might have already told this story - meds are fuzzing...) - we had catch the egg (not hard boiled) - I lost - then Jane and I were partnered for a 3 legged race across the river, round the gorse bush, back across the river, and kiss the Blarney Stone.... yessssss... of course we won (me, competitive, never ...k....sometimes)

So. That was the last 3-legged race I did - where that all came from I have absolutely NO IDEA <lalallalalalalalallalaaaaaallaaalla>

It was one of the best days EVER - I have fab pics... of course, now I am going to have to go and find and post them - oh dear - sorry.

here we go.....

@Izzie,
I am very competitive...I had to quit playing Pictionary because of it...I cannot seem to play that game without getting pissed off....I wanna WIN! There are some games I do better at than others...I am pretty sure the three legged thing I would not be so competitive at...I am clumsy at best. I would be thrilled to cross the finish line! Wink

I am sure that Tryagain will always let you know if you do something silly, Mismi. Smile

Montana, as far as the "controversy", sometimes it's like schoolchildren shunning a friend only because the friend dared to talk to someone "uncool".
