Dear Parent.... blah blah... reading a novel called “Flour Babies”.... blah blah... To reflect what is happening in the book as we read, I have asked the class to take part in a similar task. I would like them to have an “egg baby” each and follow a set of rules to care for their “baby”. The eggs would be hard boiled so that if a “baby” were to be uncared for then the result wouldn’t be so messy!!

RULES:

1. The egg babies must be kept clean and dry at all times. All staining and leakage of stuffing will be taken very seriously indeed.
2. Egg babies will be put on the official scales twice a week to check for any weight loss that might indicate casual neglect or maltreatment, or any weight gain that might indicate tampering or damp.
3. No egg baby may be left unattended at any time, night or day. If you must be out of sight of your egg baby, even for a short time, a responsible babysitter must be arranged.
4. You must keep a Baby Book, and write in it daily. Each entry should be no shorter than three full sentences, and no longer than five pages.
5. Certain person (who shall not be named until the experiment is over) shall make it their business to check on the welfare of the egg babies and the keeping of the above rules. These people may be parents, other pupils, or members of staff or the public.”

Hi, dj! What's the news from your corner of the world?

Nice to know everyone is doing ok! Good pics of the boids. I'd like to hang some suet for the birds but the squirrels and mice would manage to get to it.

Just thought I would say hi and bye since I will be Out of Order for awhile; having another chemo this Friday. The damn migraines I get for days afterwards is worse than the chemo. This is Number #4 out of #6 chemo then a year of Herceptin only.

I'm getting tired of this. Bathy is sinking life jacket or not.

Tryagain- can't help you with your shyness but maybe you can help me with mine. Shy does not seem to be a problem with you!

Thanks, Dutchy. Am feeling pretty low right now. Mentally. Wish I could have the luxury of sitting here for hours posting but the migraines/fibromyalgia kicks in, so I can't even do that. Thanks for the vibes, you're a heck of a nice guy.
