Ha... there aint nothing going near my toots except the surgeon - no worries. Remember, they are bionic - not much is gonna bother them <brave face on Mr. Green >

Really, will be fine... will get the perfect person to help me in my quest for river frontage seating.... TULIP.... errrrrrr.... thinks of last week... mmmm.... NAH NAH NAH - it will be fine. Right now, I can't barely lift my tea-cup with my hands - so it won't be happening tomorrow tho I shall go pick up from my folks on the way home. Saturday, if the sun shines, I shall do. (hands permitting)....

Scaffolding is now going up on Monday - too icy to do at the moment - fair enough - couldn't bear anyone getting hurt putting up scaffold in this cold snap and hurting themselves. Not a problem - it will get done.

Verra tired tonite.... very. Nasty nasty fingers! Got a very busy day tomorrow so won't be on the deck much.

Hoping our BLUE/PINK will come by soon - he must be having a prob getting my crocodile shoes a?

Indeedee - glad you had a goils day - good for you hun. Missy - you still procrastinating. DjjD - Ima bout to eat Salt and Vingegar crisps. Naughty, but nice.

Tired tired...

Loving you all and missing some of shoreleavers.

Anyone heard from our Stormy yet??????? Hope she's diddling OK.

Thoughts to Robert and farmily in Costa Rica - he's being shaken and stirred.

Thoughts for MM, Stacy and the family.

And our Tulip - wish she would jump onboard. She's missed here too.

Cold nite tonite... not like earlier in the week.. my car has been wrapped in a blanket... seriously... I have tucked it in for bed. Fingers crossed for the morning.

@Izzie,
I'm intrigued by the car-duvet. Seems somehow Izzie-ish.

Is there a woolen sleep cap?

Very Happy

@ehBeth,
well I could knit one... might be awfully big with an aerial sticking out the top!... It's a nice soft blanket and the car is looking snug and cosy. Hoping to see if it will make a difference with the washy wipers... Who Knows a? Only going to be little minuses tonight... so... finger crossed... or knit one purl one knit one purl one.... Razz

oh and Beth.. guess what what... one of my colleagues does salsa dancing in the town.... she even met a fella there - (tho that is too scary a thought to even contemplate - salsa two left feet, no probs... meet a bloke... sh!t bricks and build a brick wall methinks ... too scary) - BUT SALSA.... my "I have to do that before I cark it" things. So... gonna chat with her next week and see what's what there. HOW COCO would that be. I LOVE SALSA... I wish I could dance. x

@Izzie,
Salsa has a lot of basic movements that are very similar to bellydance. A pal of mine owns a couple of South American clubs in town, teaches dance at the clubs before shows - it is a ton of fun to dance with him as I can just morph a couple of my moves into salsa and merengue.

Salsa clubs and classes are pretty busy here - and definitely a meet and meet again opportunity. Sometimes just for dancing ...

@Izzie,
I'm going to have to spend part of the weekend searching for new windshield wiper blades for Algernon. The last couple of storms here have pretty much destroyed two out of the three Evil or Very Mad

Apparently it's going to be a bit of a search as so many cars around town have run into the same trouble.

Need to do something that feels a little sexy methinks... for me... you know.. not... thaaaaat way. Seriously. Just... can't sit here for the rest of my life. I don't know how I will salsa without my heels.... have a problem with that I need to get over.

@deedeexx,
Afternoon...

what a morning!

-6.5degrees - pulled off snug blanket... washy wipers worked - yay. Take little fella to the school bus... arrive exactly on time - bus is disappearing up road - had to follow and flag down (pffffffffft new driver!)

Home... roads icy - little late for work - manic - kids parents demanding demanding demanding. Head comes in tells me, strangely enough, going to be audited 5/6 Feb (just before I go off for op) .... 2 day audit.... cr*p mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... major headhurt - MAJOR! - Head needs this, that and the other, and she needs it last week. Much, I am no longer responsible for - I still feel responsible - it's my office even tho others may be doing the donkey work! The finance officer cannot be told anything - shes a DCC finance officer and much more important and clever (she is all knowing) - work isn't done "to audit criteria" - I know that - I know, not my job now - still feel responsible. Feel like a steamer - I need someone to take the lid off.

Off to hospital - bout time - stitches itching now...

I am exhausted!

I must have been eating "whine" gums again!

good news... hands not so sore today.

Hey Miss Iz and crew! I don't have class on Fridays, this semester! Yippee meee! Very Happy

I have not read back .... I'm just hoping that all of you are well! And happy!

First week of class was tough. Always is when you're off for awhile. Hard to get back in sync. I have my first class to teach on Monday/Tuesday. (while being closely watched by the professor . Shocked ) It's in BECONN. Easy stuff. Mostly dealing with cross sectional structure of interest rates and how rates behave over time. Treasury and Federal Reserve. Blah-blah-blah! Also was given 2 students to tutor. I have the feeling I will earn this assistantship!

Wrecked my poor car on Tuesday, coming home from school. I think it's totaled. Still waiting on to find out. But I'm pretty sure that I will be car shopping soon. Accident wasn't my fault. I was stopped, waiting on traffic, to make a left hand turn onto the entrance ramp of Route 23. It was freezing rain and roads were slick. Car came up behind me and couldn't stop. Hit me in the ass and pushed my car forward and off to the side. No one was in front of me, but he did push me into the traffic that I was waiting to clear. So I got hit a 2nd time by a different car. That one got me on the front passenger side. Anyhoo......crap happens sometimes! I'm ok, except for the side of my forhead and a nice purdy black eye. (I think from hitting the steering wheel) And I feel like I been run over by a truck. Sore all over! Headachy! Going to the doc and get checked over in a lil bit. Make sure all the body parts are still in alignment. Razz

Anyhow ...enough about me! I really just wanted to say "hey" and hand out hugs! Truly do hope you are all in top form.

Izzie.....I'm glad your hands are not so sore today. Get some rest! Get some sleep while you're getting that rest! DON'T make me come over there, young lady! Razz

Will read back to see what ya'll been up to, later on.

Love....love....and more love!
xoxo

Thought I would pop in, just don't seem to have much time of late.

Glad to see all is calm on ship.

Funny old week I have had. My friends husband died Wednesday night after finding out he had motor neurons disease, 7 weeks ago. Have decided to put the house on the market and start fresh somewhere else. My very old ex boyfriend rang me his father died Sunday, my ex lives in Dubai with his wife and 2 boys. But we spoke for 2 hours and just seemed like old times. Have seen a new house in Okehampton that we all love but need to sell ours to get it. So it is all in the lap of the gods or goddesses.

Really cold here and keep the heating on to keep warm. My dog has come into season and is interested in any dog that takes notice of her, she is being really teenagey and grumpy, didn't know dogs went through this. Hope to see the dog which we are hoping to get from the rescue centre tomorrow. He is a Westhighland white and has been really badly treated. He is to be my son's dog and of course has been neutered, as well as a companion for little Star.

Wishing you all well X

@annis,
BROOKE! THANK GOD - that could have been so much worse. I am so glad you are okay. Hope the headache goes away soon. Rest up and take care of yourself girly. I am sorry about the car. And I am glad you have a day off...that will make this semester nice huh?

Tulip - it is so good to see you. I am sorry to hear about your husbands friend. It all happened so fast. ((Tulip)) So very sorry . I know it was fun to talk to your ex. I always enjoy it. It is fun catching up with them. Though the last time I saw mine he stuck his finger in my green beans...then I remembered why we broke up! HAH! Wink

Izzie - you too are in my thoughts and prayers girl ((IZZIE))

I had a great night last night. It was quite enjoyable sitting on the couch watching the game. I will say there was a part of me that was quite smug. I am trying not to be ugly though. Very Happy

FIVE DAYS WITHOUT SUGAR...(and I don't mean smooching) I don't think I have EVER done that in my entire life - the will power, the sheer tenacity - well - I amaze me. Wink

Okay - hugs to you all...I have to go cook. again.

@alex240101,
Sounds like some folks here had a rough week. Glad it's Friday and I hope next week is better for y'all.

I am a little cabin crazy. Ok, a lot cabin crazy. Even going to the local bakery (even though I had to wait in the car) was exciting. Oh boy. Things is gettin' desperate. Nothing on the tube either. Rain outside and cold.

How come there are over 700 channels and nothing on TV!!! I hate those sitcoms and reality shows. And too many crime movies!
Tapping foot.....scratching bald head for ideas.....

@bathsheba,
Where did everybody go? Bathsheba, did you chase everybody away?
Hello Izzie, and crew.
Bathsheba, you left out the best part. What did you get from the bakery?
So much more snow last night, today. Fridge empty. My refrigerator is suffering from post holiday blues. There is a dip, no, not going to go there.
Good day all.
JBrooke. Do not think it was a coincidence that earlier, you posted about angels. Guardian, for sure.

@alex240101,
I am sorry your fridge is empty Alex - I hate it when that happens.

Of course Bathy didn't run us off - it is the weekend - and Izzie - would love to hear how you are doing hun? Did you go get re-stitched and what did the Dr. say?

Brooke - How's the head this morning? Keep us updated sweet girl.

Oh funny thing...S was running around in his boxers this morning - I told him to go put his pants on and he said " It's Saturday - I just want to be free" - "Free from pants?", I said. He replied, " I just want to hang loose today" - Shocked have mercy. He's eight for pete's sake. Hang loose? cracks me up.

We have a busy day today - lots of little honey do's - I hate those things. I would much rather be here at home

Hope you all have a good day - thinking of you all.

YIKES!!! Brooke -- sorry to hear about the accident but I'm glad it wasn't worse than it was.

((( Izzie ))) Giant hugs, hun.

Hiya Mis -- 5 days with no sugar, eh? Amazing effort and well done, indeed!

Hello, hello to Bathy. Glad to see you on deck.

I hope the rest of the crew are trudging through January whether it's cold, dark, and miserable, or too dang hot and humid.
