@deedeexx,
Hope everyone is having a restful snooze or a relaxing day.

Dance class started again last night. I'm a bit befuddled on my chores. Doing laundry tonight. Who does laundry on Tuesday nights? Not me. Well, not usually.

Boilers and toilets. The gals on this boat are wonderfully resourceful aren't they. I melted the dial off of the lovely new toaster-oven, so we've got to adjust the time using giant pliers Evil or Very Mad I am not amused. Too bad there's simply no one else to blame for this.

I think I could use a nice, rolling kinda song to lull me right into zzzzzzzland.

Or mebbe not. I need to finish that laundry. In the old days, hamburger used to make jokes about my friend Eleanor and me needing toothpicks soaked in vinegar to keep our eyelids up when we were trying to stay up for something fun. I need them now.

(what the heck is my J-Pop name? must look it up. did I save it somewhere?)

@Rockhead,
Oh good grief. The local fella. Stories, we've got stories about him. He's a good neighbour and garage-saler.

Thank you.

@verbivore,
Good idea verbivore but ehBeth maybe a little shy as she does 'belly-dancing' I believe. Perhaps you take the lead and post a picture of yourself as many of the crew do not know how beautiful you look in your national dress. Just dropped by to see who is around but things are very quiet on the threads, must be to early for most of the crew. Back to my coffee and cake. Smile

Good morning Izzie,and crew. Wednesday. Mother nature sure is useing up her blanco.
deedeexx. How is your dad today? Hope he heals quickly.
Dutchy and verbivore. Watching the GMAC bowl last night, I was wondering to myself, how and why I have to partake in my wifes new years resolution..( not a bowl of chips on my lap, nor,pretzels, but a bowl of broccoli and cauliflower.) I guess that is being a team player. I did not have the heart, to crunch, chips, or pop in delicious smelling oil, popcorn.
Rockhead. I haven't seen that movie in twenty years. I remember the neat mall scene.
Until later.
Izzie

@alex240101,
Afternoon Lovelies...

Car is broken still, then car isn't broken. My voice quivered as I spoke to the garage - I spoke to someone who said "you are the customer, you are right" - and he is planning to sort things out now. We will see. A little bit of faith. Car is now at home and I will see what happens tomorrow.

I never cease to be amazed at nature... and what it does to me. It is so cold... the "hurts your head" kinda cold.... but it is simply the most amazing thing to watch a river freeze. I left work and went for a drive to one of the wee rivers.... I walked, HA, tripped and stumbled more like... but it is truly spectacular to see the ice take a grip on the running water - that just doesn't happen in these parts - we are too temperate here... apparently not this winter. Folks - it is just stunning. I feel like I visited a make believe world for an hour - and so peaceful - all I could hear were the pheasants calling. Truly, I am awed at the beauty I see around me - it's captivating.

Need to go warm up now - I can't feel my feet and I need to rest-up too. Will bore y'all with pics later.

Got a mind full of pins and needles niggling at the moment - maybe a rest will blunt them off a bit.

Love y'all. Laters xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

@Izzie,
Morning, afternoon, evening wherever you are, hope you're all well. Poor Izzie how can you get around without your car? Pushbike is out of the question with all this cold weather no doubt. Look forward seeing your photos, bet you captured some more stunning shots. Trust your feet are warm by now and those awful pins and needles have disappeared. ((((Izzie))))

was thinking of izzie and her post yesterday about sweets

i listen to the scott mills daily podcast (BBC1), and becky was talking about some adverts that are supposed to be promoting better health and eating habits, she explained that the people in the ads look like jelly babies, and when she watches it she finds herself not thinking about eating better, but rather, boy, could i ever go for a bag of sweets

@mismi,
Good morning all. Nice to see Verby back. Thanks Alex for wishes for my dad. He is healing nicely and is starting to listen re walking stick. Ladies day today for mama, her sister, my sister and myself. Off to the local winery whose chef spoils me and then on to do a little "flutter" and the local club. We have a volunteer driver of one nephew so we may all have a couple of chardies at lunch. Will toast the crew and captain - great bunch of guys and girls. Hugs to all and catch you tomorrow.

@deedeexx,
Just dropped by to say hello.

Maybe I will actually get to know more folks by hanging around here. It's just my energy isn't up for sitting for long periods at the computer. But you guys make me laugh a lot and I enjoy reading even if I don't always respond!
