@Izzie,
I've hit the skids. It happens. Just tired - and depressed - I am having that after Christmas let down - and the boys start school tomorrow - I hate that. This is their last day - well - I will shake it off and be fine.

Iz and JPB - TODAY I am putting away all the Christmas stuff - that is another reason I am down. The house looks so plain when it all goes away. thpthpthpthp...and it's hard work. Wink

MM and Stacy and fam - still thinking and praying for you all. Hoping that getting back to regular work schedules helps some. I know you are still struggling. Hugs to you all.

Hey Tricia - I will get your e-mail from Iz. Thank you -

FQ - hope that house gets settled soon. It did look like you all had such a great time - so glad! hugs xx

Dutchy - what have you got going this week? Izzie is beating me in JP as usual (I can't beat her) and DeeDee will probably as well...I am a shoe in to beat if you ever want to play!

Hope you all have a great week...hugs and kisses to all

Hey Mis - Don't be sad! - It is my first day back to work today and my beautiful girls went back to school last night and no more decorations in the house, but, you know what - once it happens, it's not so bad. - The thought is much worse than the reality - and once they are all back in the routine, life changes back again and makes us appreciate the real family time that we get in the holidays - Roll on easter!!

keep your chin up honey and don't feel alone - we all feel it with you

keep smiling
FQ xx

@mismi,
mornin' missy.

I hear you on the plain and drab. This is the time of year that I try to fill the house with flowering plants. I force tulips and daffodils in pots, put azaleas in various stages of bloom in different rooms, start some herbs in window pots so I can pretend it's spring, etc.

It's a dark, cold time of year and it's easy to feel dark and cold as well. With two SAD sufferers here, I've found that the brighter and cheerier I make the house the better (we also use high intensity light bulbs as well as a special light box).

HUGS, hun.

@FlavourQueen,
Hey crew...

yep... back to work today... INSET day.... we had an holistic therapist come in - I was first out the hat and had a head back and neck massage.... OH MY.... I need one of those EVERY DAY! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! It was luverly.

Verra busy getting eveything ready for the kids returning tomorrow... home now with the Little Fella and about to go and attempt to find his uniform.

Haven't heard back from the plumber yet and got a pile of bills mounting up that I need to somehow sort - hey ho... life is like a box of chocolates - bills are like strawberry creams - nasty!!!!!

Still tired.

Ah mis... I decided when FQsis was down that my lounge .... house actually... needs painting! Haven't done a thing since I moved here... and it's nice and all... just a bit twee for my liking. Goodness knows when I will do it, but having the clutter of the crimbo stuff away - well, it's a wee house - so - it's kinda nice to be back to normalish.

Oh FQsis... Bear left his bowl here... Scooby has adopted it. Thanku. How is Bear... did he survive the trip? I couldn't say goodbye to him when he got in the car - give him a nose rub from me OK.

So, I have just sat down and told Sean about my upcoming surgery and he is cool with it. I had to get the school dates squared away with him and he get's worried when he doesn't know what's happening. He said I would be like Chandler from friends with a bit of my toe missing! HA - bless him - he's a good kid. We are sorted. Rest of family - shall tell.... who knows when!

K - gotta go for a bit.

BLUE/PINK - where are you hun - is everything coco in your world? How is the beach or the ski slopes? Are you tanning nicely? Jump onboard when you can - missing you. xox

MM - thinking of you and yours. ((((MM, Stacy, Cody, Jason))))

Take care crew - lovin' y'all x

Oooooooooooooh... edit - cross post... JPB - good plan with the plants... tho I am not green fingered. Lovely idea tho - mis reminds me of sunflowers and daisies - maybe I will get some sunflower seeds - I have those wonderful seeds RH gave me - the orange Mexican ones - shall try planting those. Hugs girl xxxx

@Izzie,
Thanks FQ - I know you are right...but will just keep walking in that direction until I SEE what you are saying! Wink ((FQ))

Quote:
I force tulips and daffodils in pots
JPB - this is BRILLIANT - I have to go to Lowe's today to get a washer for the toilet tank (story below) - so I will see if I can find some of those kits that help you force bulbs...that will be fun ! Thank you!

The terlet - it is still leaking. I took it all apart last night and thought I had it fixed...I noticed that the washer that came with the flusher kit thingymabobby was torn a bit - but me being me went ahead and put it all together and filled the tank anyway...stupid. I should have waited - but waiting - well - it just sucks...but having to redo it all sucks worse...but I am a cock-eyed optimist - can't see that at the time.

So I have to go get a washer and redo the whole toilet tank assembly process - I hate paying plumbers for something I think I can do - hard headed like that.

I have all my outside decorations in - I am having to let them sit in the garage and dry off for a bit - it has been raining for days down here...no wonder I am blue! And all the other stuff is down and waiting to be put into boxes...the Christmas tree - not done yet...I am thinking about keeping the lights on it and just putting a bag over it and sticking it in the crawl space. It seems like cutting corners...but I have the room so why not? <shrugs>

Okay - yabbered enough - I am going to start getting that stuff in boxes!

Izzie - I am thinking about you and that surg...so glad you got a neck rub - too bad they don't have that there everyday. I can imagine it would be luverly.

Hugs to all! Thanks for your encouragement! I am blessed to know y'all!

@devriesj,
Happy belated birthday special agent Wandel, I know how you feel, another year older. Smile

Hello young Dev, so nice to see you back, hope things are looking up for you in 2009.

Hi mismi won't tell you what I'm up to this week but it is not very pleasant, if we had pm's I would tell you. However by Thursday everything will be back to normal.

Seems everybody is going back to work, good times never last long, do they? Captain one of my specialities is head, neck, shoulder massages.......and, never mind, call in any time you like. Smile

Have a nice day crew, will be back later.

@Izzie,
Good morning crew. Happy belated birthday to Wandel. Yes, my decorations are all away too for another year and it does feel sad to pack them away. Peacock is looking in the kitchen window doing his "show" and the geese are honking at the courtyard gate waiting for a feed. Big boy toys have gone and house is still standing. Hubby had an idea he was going to dig a wine cellar and took the machine down the back of the property and practised digging a hole (and I mean A HOLE). Hope the kangaroos see it before he fills it in again. I told him in no uncertain terms he was not coming near the house with that machine.

Dev nice to see you back.

Izzieliz - when is the surgery? I think you have me stumped with this jinky and Missy, I think you have this game sewn up also.

Hugs to all xx

Hello Izzie, and crew. Monday. Not ordinary.
Dropping in to say hello.
Justbrooke. Thank you for the nice words, and.....
Go Buckeyes. Surely Iowa can not be the only Big Ten team to win a bowl game. Down with the Longhorns. Down.
That is all. Good day.

I had a whole list of good wishes, but when I was told someone had posted a picture of their cold tits, incredulity caused palpitations and I lost the plot. Therefore if you are reading this; may best wishes precede your footsteps!

Bad news folks; that is if you were hoping that Mr Tryagain had taken a hike! It appears that he has been spotted on the lower reaches of the Limpopo, cut off between the escarpment and the floods. (Sounds painful!)

Oh my, dear Humphrey Bogart would not be pleased that a few raindrops had delayed the expedition. Still, as the foaming froth has driven the crocodiles onto terra firma, you ladies should place an order for handbags; but you had better make it snappy!

The Boss Is Back (Well almost!)

Lyrics by Bernie Taupin " adulterated by me…

I was justified when I was five
Raising cane, I spit in your eye
Times are changing, now the poor get fat
But the fever's gonna catch you when the boss gets back

Eat meat on Friday that's alright
Even like steak on a Saturday night
I can bitch the best at your social do's
I get high in the evening thinking of you

The boss, the boss
Oh the boss is back
Stone cold sober as a matter of fact
I can bitch, I can bitch
It's the way that I move
The things that I do

I entertain by picking brains
Sell my soul by dropping names
I don't like those, my God, what's that
I’ll loose my nasty habits when the boss gets back…

Próspero año nuevo todos!
