@Izzie,
Good morning crew, a new week has started with lots of things happening. So pleased to tell you our Stormy is alright! Had word she only just had her power restored after losing it on December 11, can you imagine being without it that long with all that snow and cold? She'll be back on A2K as soon as they are without power surges.
Captain glad you made it outside and hopefully got all your Christmas shopping done, hope you and the little fellow will have a great time.
I know I will as from today it will be bedlam here with three kids vying for my attention, my first trip will be to McDonalds in a few hours time, the little blighters sent me a message already to that effect. LOL
Hi ddxx, you sneaked in whilst I was typing my message, wishing you a great time with your visitors. You'll be a busy girl.
Be back later.

@Dutchy,
Hello Izzie and crew.
Sunday. Recuperating. Went to a gathering last night. Good food, friends, and fun. Speaking of recuperating: Izzie, are you an ounce better since your last post? I hope so.
Dutchy. I know you are, and will, enjoy every minute with your grandchildren and family. ...and thank you for the Stormwatch update. Send her my best regards.
Good day.

@alex240101,
HELLO!

I am cleaning out the basement/garage. I KNOW - yuck. But it is a must - I will have 8 children running around here Christmas day and I want a place to stick them should they become unbearable! HA - there are fun things to do down there...they can skate and hit the punching bag (hopefully not each other) They can ride their skooters and bikes too...But it is a mess - I have been stacking again. Hate it when I do that...Need to MAKE myself just keep on going until I get the stuff to the right spot then put it down. But no, I just stack where there is a clear spot and then have to spend a whole Sunday afternoon cleaning up after myself....that was too much information wasn't it?

But I wanted to stick my head in and see what was up with everyone. Had a lovely time with my brother and his wife and kids. They are so precious. Just fun to be around. My sister in law makes me laugh! I love that about her.

Well fellow yabberererers - feel blessed to know you. You are a great lot of folks that's for sure!

hugs and kisses!
missy

@mismi,
Hey Crew
Just popped on board to say hi and happy preparations for Xmas!
One more day of work and then a break for 2 weeks!!! - How happy is that?
I have been living in a building site with no heating and no kitchen sink for 2 weeks as I have a new kitchen being installed and loads of renovations done at home - The house is 400 years old and the dust is just incredible - so today I spent alone being pampered at a spa with a massage, facial and manicure whilst my darling husband cooked cleaned and put up the Christmas tree with the kids - I feel I have had my Christmas now! - How lucky was I to have a hubby to do that for me?
Spoke to Iz tonite and she is quite poorly still - I LOVED my bauble for the Xmas tree - both the one on the ship and the one you actually gave me hun - a real treasure that will always go on my tree and remind me of you - Love you babe.
Great to read the thread and catch up on all the news -it sounds like you are all in full swing - I have a houseful on Xmas day - hubby cooking tho ( thank goodness) and Iwill be on the gin - nothing new therethen!!
Love to you all - Mis, I am with you on the cleaning up thing - nightmare!
Dutchy deedee and all of you - WV ( glad to see you there) - Happy Christmas to you all - Big hugs to all on board

My little trip was good for decompressing. I got home just ahead of the ice storm. Lost power for a couple of days. Although I did get a generator going, as it was pretty much a dire need since my sump pump couldn't run and was full. Water in the basement was not an option if I could help it. Went to visit my parents today and power was back out when I got home. It's back up again. So who knows! I'm just going with the flow at this point.

I met some interesting people while I was gone. Had lots of time to think, too. I have decided that no matter how far ( or how close ) I live to my Dad ( we are 35 minutes apart) he is going to worry and fret and do his best to make sure I'm NOT doing anything he thinks is going to hurt me. Tis a fact that I can't change. Not sure I would, even if I could. As much of a pain in the rump as he is at times, I love him just the way he is. Still .... it is my life. And I have to live it and make my own decisions. Right or wrong. He just needs to get used to that idea. And I need to get used to the fact, he will be at my door when he has something to say! Like it or not!

Oh.... I was driving along in my car last week and my message alert on my cell phone went off. I thought, that's strange because the phone never even rang. So I get my voice mail and instead of telling me I had 1 message from such and such a # ... it just went right into my mail box. The most soft, and sweetest voice that ya ever wanna hear began talking. With the most awesome English accent! Yeah! Izzie! And I couldn't even call her back! I had no # since the voice mail never recorded one! Dang. But I'll tell ya what I did do. I took that message and saved it. Any time I need a smile.....all I'm gonna have to do is listen to it. What a dear - dear - dear sweetheart! Thank you, Miss Izz.....you know I love you, too!

Ok...forgive me for making no comments on what's going on with the crew. I have not had a chance to read back. On anything! Wanted to get this posted first, just in case the power goes out again. Very windy here and all the trees are heavy with ice. Not a good combo for the power to stay on.

Loads of love to all!

@JustBrooke,
Darling -

So glad you are here and we love you so much. I so hoped it was your voice on the answerphone....it was like a wee bird, mistlethrush, singing sweetly and every bit how I imagined from a past song. I love you girl. So happy to know you are here and safe - thanku to your friend who kept me posted. I will call you tomorrow if I can speak (laryingitus) - would love to talk with you before Christmas.

You are such a special person. Take all the time you need. You have your life to live - provided you keep belief in yourself and your faith - you will never go under hun. Angels like you stay with us always and we'll always be here when you need us.

To all the crew on the "Yabber-Liner", Christmas is almost here, I wish I could send every one of you a card, alas I haven't got your addresses. Please accept this presentation as my Christmas card to all of you. I have loved your company this year and sincerely hope we'll sail along the same course in 2009.

@djjd62,
Cardinals are very Christmassy birds. Love the pic dj.

We are just getting things tidy and baking a little for Christmas today - it is chilly willy down south now. Got down to 20 degrees F last night. We like it...for a little while anyway.

Still have a smidge of shopping to do. Will attempt that tomorrow.

It is good to see you Brooke. All Dad's are protective of their babies. My Dad still is. I have to gently tell him where he cannot tread these days. But the understanding that your Dad loves you and always will is a good thing. He will figure it out - and it will be excruciating for him at times. But you are right - you have to do what you feel is right. God bless you and your family Brooke. Merry Christmas to you all.

So glad to see White Vi even if just for a bit. Hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season girl. I know you are busy and things get so difficult at times. But please know we are always happy to see you when you get to pop in!

Missing Dev. Hope all is well with her and her family.

Try has been missing quite some time now. Miss his smart ass.

Iz - hope you are doing okay.

Hugs to all of you!
I am off to get some more done!
